** [=LokSat=], real name [[spoiler:Mason Wood]], is the BigBad of the eighth and final season, as well as the GreaterScopeVillain of the whole series. The head of the Greatest Detective Society and a corrupt government attorney, it is revealed in the two-part season premiere "[[{{Recap/CastleS8E1XY}} XY]]"/"[[{{Recap/CastleS8E2XX}} XX]]" that he was Senator William Bracken's silent partner, providing him with the highly-trained assassins he used, taking part in covering up their crimes. When Beckett's former team from the Attorney General's office begins looking into finding him, he has four of them killed in a car accident and the fifth one stabbed in a nightclub, later on sending assassins after both Beckett and AG analyst Vikram Singh. When [[YouHaveFailedMe Bracken is questioned]] by Beckett and later by Castle, [=LokSat=] [[YouHaveOutlivedYourUsefulness has him brutally murdered in prison]]. He also [[FrameUp frames]] AG Allison Hyde as a patsy, has her killed, and makes it look like a suicide to close the investigation. He assists Bracken and Vulcan Simmons in their drug operation, keeping it going even after they're dead. When Beckett is seemingly able to persuade Public Defender Caleb Brown--whom [=LokSat=] forced to work for him--to turn on [=LokSat=] in the series finale "[[{{Recap/CastleS8E22Crossfire}} Crossfire]]", [=LokSat=] has [[TheDragon Mr. Flynn]] gas and brutally burn an unknown man alive in order to fake Caleb's death, only [[PragmaticVillainy sparing him because he's still useful]]. He manipulates and plans to kill Castle's stepmother Rita for information. When he has Flynn abduct Castle and subject him to an extremely potent truth serum, he personally asks one-by-one who else knows about the investigation, coldly stating his intention to have them all eliminated. He later attempts to ambush Beckett and tries to throw her into an incinerator. Representing the darkest elements of the series, [=LokSat=] is notable as the most dangerous threat the characters have ever faced.

* ''Series/OrphanBlack'': [[AbusiveParents Henrik "Hank" Johanssen]] from season 2 stands out as a depraved character even in a show full of BlackAndGrayMorality. Johanssen is the leader of a branch of the [[{{cult}} Proletheans]], operating on a ranching community. Separating from the Prolethans' more traditional views in favor of scientific curiosity, Johanssen operates his branch, and seemingly peaceful community, as a BreedingCult, where women are artificially inseminated and children are regularly abused. When Hank gets his hands on Helena, discovering she's a rare fertile clone, Hank has her handler Tomas killed so he can keep her. He proceeds to drug and forcibly marry Helena before [[MedicalRapeAndImpregnate taking her ovaries and fertilizing them with his sperm]], planning to implant those embryos in multiple women. When Helena escapes with the help of Hank's teenage daughter Gracie, Hank has Gracie locked in a cage and her [[MouthStitchedShut mouth sewn shut]] as punishment; it's implied this is a usual punishment for her. He shows more affection towards his follower Mark than he does Gracie and even then he's controlling and indifferent to Mark's feelings; it's discovered Mark, a Project CASTOR clone, is merely a replacement to Abel, a stillborn attempt of Hank's recreating project CASTOR. When Helena returns, Henrik has her inseminated with their embryos before proceeding to do the same with Gracie. He keeps them locked in a nursery, holding them at gunpoint and sends his wife to find more women for him to impregnate. While hiding behind a thin veil of a warm fatherly demeanor, Hank's motivations are that since a fertile clone is a scientific impossibility, he's the only one worthy of fathering children with them and spreading the genres of "miracle babies."

** [[NotSoWellIntentionedExtremist Evie Cho]], the BigBad of season 4, is the ambitious, high-ranking, [[Characters/OrphanBlackTheNeolutionists Neolutionist]] [[CorruptCorporateExecutive CEO]] of [=BrightBorn=]. A survivor of a birth defect, Cho developed a perfectionist view, which inspired her goal to control the future of human evolution. Cho developed mechanical, worm-like devices to alter people's DNA and can quickly but painfully kill it's host if ruptured. When Beth Childs was investigating the Neolutionists, Cho tried to get her to kill Susan Ducan, so she can usurp Duncan as leader of Neolution. Failing that, Cho blackmails her into killing herself by threatening the other clones. It's also revealed that she had Delphine Cormier shot at the end of season three. When Cosmia explores [=BrightBorn=] facilities, she discovers Cho is keeping pregnant women in maternity labs for illegal human experiments. To further wound her, Cho tells Cosmia that Delphine is dead. She plans to put her devices into millions of people and alter their DNA without their consent. She has Donnie arrested with threats of having him killed in jail to blackmail Allison. When two women escape her maternity lab with evidence that could expose her, she sends assassins after them. Udo is [[CruelAndUnusualDeath slowly and painfully eaten alive]], physically and [[MindRape mentally]], with The One absorbing his memories to pose as Udo. After absorbing enough organic matter to escape, The One murders his way out of prison and flees into the wilderness. When led into a trap by Udo's fiancee Sara, it poses as Udo to try and prey on her feelings before attempting to kill her when the deception falls through. After escaping again, it flees into the sewers, eating and killing every human it comes across. This is when we find out that, rather than following BlueAndOrangeMorality, it talks, thinks along very human lines, and [[{{Sadist}} deeply enjoys killing people]]. It does not prey on humans for sustenance, as simpler creatures like lizards, rats and crows enhance its powers; it preys upon them for pleasure. At one point, after taking on its true gigantic form, it laughs while destroying the city, gloating and bellowing for the humans to run in terror. What made The One stand out over most of the other {{kaiju}} before or since was its utter sadism. It's a PsychoForHire that deeply enjoyed killing and eating humans, in some ways worse than its creator. It is not a wild animal, or a tragic beast--just a monster.

Described as cold, ruthless, and dangerous, he is [[EstablishingCharacterMoment introduced]] brutally beating the army's general in front of his soldiers before killing him upon [[DisproportionateRetribution hearing rumors that he was insulting his style of kung fu]]. He also shows utter distain for the Mongols, and when he hears Empress Dowager Xie Daoquing was trying to negotiate a peace treaty with the Mongols, he has her and those who agreed to it murdered, along with her already dying husband, so that their son could become emperor, [[PuppetKing someone easier for him to control]], thus leading to [[DragonAscendant him becoming]] the [[DragonInChief true ruler of the empire]]. When the Mongols attempt to invade Xianggang he uses gunpowder to attack them, with the entire army massacred, causing the Khan to retreat. When the Mongol army succeeds in breaching the walls in their second attempt, Sidao tracks down Marco Polo, the man who orchestrated this siege, and he makes him suffer, before trying to kill him. A [[AmbitionIsEvil power-hungry]] sociopath who views all those as nothing more than stepping stones for power, Jia Sidao was a perfect example of how horrible people in Medieval China could become.
