* ''WesternAnimation/{{Samurai Jack}}'': Da Samurai claims to be a highly skilled samurai, but he is actually an incompetent {{Comic Relief}} who doesn't know anything about being a samurai. [[FakeMuscles His muscles are fake]] and he is actually very skinny with a pot belly. He is very arrogant and obsessed with himself to the point where he would chicken out if he is faced with actual danger, as seen when he tried to run back to the tavern after he and Jack are cornered by an army of robot bounty hunters. He pulled a {{Heel Face Turn}} after Jack showed him how to be a real samurai.

** And in "Operation P.O.O.L", Negative Numbuh 4 qualifies just as much. To all the kids, especially his own minions, he is seen as a fearmonging tyrant bullying everyone into doing his bidding. However, his {{Fatal Flaw}} is that, like everyone from the {{Mirror Universe}}, he is the opposite of his own real world counterpart and thus a {{Dirty Coward}} in contrast to Numbuh 4's braverly and boldness. This was revealed when he started shivering in fear to Numbuh 4 challenging him to a [[{{Lets Settle This Like Gentlemen}} a dual]] and even orders his minions to fire in an act of cowardice. It's also possible that he might secretly love Rainbow Monkey since the real Numbuh 4 hates them.

* Woofer, the bloodhound from ''WesternAnimation/ClueClub'', can be this. He and Wimper (his basset sidekick) are usually obedient to Larry, Pepper and D.D., but Woofer tends to brag about how he solved the crime when for the most part he hadn't done squat.

Upon discovering Courage, who doesn't know that the danger is real for most of the episode, walks around making hammy heroic declarations and challenging the aliens to fights. Then he attacks Buvolvan, gets smacked down, and realizes that this isn't an episode he's actually on an alien vessel filming and promptly takes off in Outer Space, he flees in Gyro's spaceship, the only ship, leaving Huey, Dewey, Louie, Doofus the boys and Launchpad behind.
