* The Quest for the Legendary Orbs (Yes, in case you're wondering there are seven of them and they're required to summon the Dragon-God Ryujin, [[DragonBall but he doesn't grant any wish, and none of said orbs is orange]].) In order to reach Onimaru's Flying Castle, Yaiba & Co go on a quest for the Ryujin Orb, but they need to find the Seven Legendary Orbs first... and fight back Onimaru's [[CarnivalOfKillers warriors resurrected from the past]]. From this arc onward, the series started growing more serious.
