* BittersweetEnding: [[spoiler:Sumio wishes for a world without the skull, and reality warps to accommodate his wish. Everyone who was killed or lost due to the skull (including Mao and Ryou's missing classmates) is returned to life. However, Kirio sacrifices himself to fulfill the wish, and Shigeru and Sumio never were childhood friends in this iteration. This series is a brilliant thriller with some similarities to ''Manga/{{Death Note}}'' and ''Manga/{{Mirai Nikki}}'', and is currently the most popular of Shonen Jump's series released in 2010. It ended in December, 2011. The plot is also very involved, so spoilers abound.

* EvilPlan: Enigma [[spoiler:aka Kirio]]. He [[spoiler:sets up the [[PlotTailoredToTheParty e-test]] in order to find the person capable of becoming the next Enigma so that he can use this person as a decoy for the "enemy" who's after whoever has the Enigma skull, which will bide him time so that he can escape from prison and exact his revenge on the "enemy". This also allows him to be able to reuse the skull's ability to grant three wishes once he retrieves it, since he used them up previously After the e-test is done and finished he initially chooses Shigeru to become Enigma, [[TheMessiah Sumio]] decides to take it up instead. However, [[BatmanGambit Kirio reveals that he expected Sumio to take up the position anyway]].]]
