* ''Series/{{Hightown}}'': This is a frequent occurrence for Jackie. She goes on on alcohol and/or drug binges which result in her waking up in strange beds with strange women and no recollection of what she did over the past couple days. It takes a really bad turn in season 3 when [[spoiler: Jackie discovers her one-night-stand's blood covered shirt in the back of her car that belongs to a woman she'd had sex with]], after being unable to remember where either her car or phone were at first.

* ''WebAnimation/GridironHeights'': The "Super Bowl Hangover" episode has Matthew Stafford, Zac Taylor, and Joe Burrow waking up ''eight months'' after the Super Bowl completely befuddled as to what's happened in the meantime and how they've ended up with extremely questionable records. They end up having to look through the security footage to piece together how they ended in their particular predicament, Burrow is the only one with any semblance of his wits about him, and no one can find Allen Robinson (not helped by the fact that Stafford can't even remember what he looks like).

His friend desperately wants to remember what happened that night to catch his killer. [[spoiler: The friend experienced extreme sensitivity to sounds during his trip and strangled the victim to quiet him]].
* And ''Series/CSIMiami'' also did it when two guys are found in a fountain with drugs in their systems and no memory of the previous night. It seems their bachelor party got wildly out of hand with the groom having to bail one guy (a normally straight-laced church guy) out of jail when he broke up a party thrown by a rich developer. It also leads to a wild search for the missing groom.
* A similar case on ''Series/{{CSINY}}'' involving booze [[spoiler:spiked with LSD]] finally resulted in the newly 21-year-old suspect being tasered by a cop after running through the streets with a bloody ax. [[spoiler: Turned out the kid was completely innocent, and the killer of his two friends and two girls they picked up was after the girls for looting from his drug supply.]]

* ''VideoGame/FinalFantasyXV'' fic ''[[https://archiveofourown.org/works/18530914?view_full_work=true Astral Hangover]]'' starts with [[RoyalsWhoActuallyDoSomething Noctis]] waking up in the back seat of [[CoolCar the Regalia]] with [[WhiteMage Y'jhimei]] (the [[CatGirl Miqo'te]] from the [[VideoGame/FinalFantasyXIV XIV]]/XV crossover event), naked. The Regalia has a bright blue paint job, and they're parked on the Vesperpool, a lake in the northwestern corner of Lucis, which is ''frozen''. The last thing Noctis remembers is arriving at Hammerhead after the TimeSkip in Chapter 14, which means he's in the astral memory and has forgotten calling for Umbra. [[spoiler:Noctis and his retainers went to visit Y'jhimei at Pteropuss Keep, [[DrowningMySorrows Noctis was already drunk when they got there]], and [[FromBadToWorse Y'jhimei offered the others some Eorzean liquor]]. They had invited [[CuteBruiser Iris]], who was ''also'' offered some liquor and was taken to the Wiz Chocobo Post by Ignis to sleep off her drinks; [[DragonKnight Aranea]] stopped in and was offered a drink, then went to Hammerhead for a paint job by Prompto; [[VideoGame/TerraBattle Sarah]] was dragged to Eos, took off with Gladio on foot, and somehow got into the last quarter of [[MarathonLevel Costlemark Tower]] after ''Sarah'' had gotten a drink; and Noctis and Y'jhimei [[DrunkDriving took the Regalia to Liede]] (with [[FishOutOfWater Y'jhimei]] driving), apparently [[DidYouJustPunchOutCthulhu brought down an adamantoise]], got a paint job on Y'jhimei's suggestion, and then somehow drove to the Vesperpool without crashing. A bonus chapter reveals that Noctis proceeded to summon [[BlowYouAway Garuda]] and [[AnIcePerson Shiva]] when attacked by several monsters, and they [[AlcoholInducedIdiocy tried to drive over the frozen wind-stirred Vesperpool instead of going around]]. Whether Noctis and Y'jhimei [[DidTheyOrDidntThey did anything]] is left unanswered.]]

* Webcomic/DeanNalaVinny: The day after New Year's, Nala vaguely remembers someone yelling "Get oot of the chip dip!" (presumably Dean, given the FunnetikAccent) during festivities. She assumes Vinny was the one in the dip, reassures him that these things happen and that his secret is safe with her. Then she walks off… with a bowl of dip stuck on her rump.

* ''Series/{{The Twilight Zone|1959}}'' episode "[[Recap/TheTwilightZoneS5E150StopoverInAQuietTown Stopover in a Quiet Town]]", a married couple tries to drive home after having a few too many drinks, and wind up [[WakingUpElsewhere waking up in a deserted town]]. [[spoiler:It's revealed that they were abducted by a race of giant {{Human Alien}}s and are now trapped in a giant dollhouse town as {{Human Pet}}s]].

* The ''Series/{{Victorious}}'' fic "[[https://www.fanfiction.net/s/8684304/1/After-the-party After the party]]" opens with Jade and Tori waking up naked in bed together with no memory of last night. When Jade practically forces Tori to leave and pretend this never happened, Tori is left hurt and bitter at the rejection, but after Beck confronts Jade about her actions and finds a video Jade made of the encounter on her phone, Jade acknowledges her deeper feelings for Tori.

* The opening few episodes of ''Series/{{Castle}}'' Season 7 are a doozy of an example. On the way to his wedding, Castle get run off the road by a black SUV. He gets dragged from his burning car, then a few hours later he pays for the car to be crushed. He then disappears entirely, only to resurface two months later in a small dinghy (with gunshot holes in it) off the coast of Delaware. During those missing months he contracted dengue fever (which is only found in the tropics), got shot and recovered, and spent some time in Montreal for God alone knows what reason. Then he asked for his memories to be erased, and gave the people who did it a TrustPassword so that they could prove he asked to lose all the memories. What the ''hell'' was he up to during those months?
