A character who is liked in the fandom is treated badly, overlooked, or simply hated in the show by other characters, often to the point of being the ButtMonkey. Occasionally this is intentional by the writers and becomes a RunningGag; the character isn't an extreme stereotype or even that annoying. It's just funny.

funny. As a special note, not every character in this category will necessarily be a lovable loser. Sometimes, characters like this can be extremely dangerous JerkAss villains or anti-heroes whom a lot of characters hate and fear but are sufficiently powerful enough or have enough PlotArmor that everybody else has little choice but to put up with them.

* ''Disney/WreckItRalph'' gives us the title character Ralph and Vanellope von Schweetz, victims of severe FantasticRacism in the world of video games they live in. They were both shunned by their fellow inhabitants for being a PunchClockVillain and a glitch. Now...go ask the ''fans'' what they think of [[BigBeautifulMan Ralph]] and [[TheCutie Vanellope]] and prepare yourself for a very long session of [[{{Squee}} squealing]] and [[GushingAboutCharactersYouLike gushing.]] This is brought up in-universe, when [[spoiler:King Candy argues that the the players will dislike a glitchy character like Vanellope being made playable, and will report the game as broken because of her. Ralph counters with the possibility that the players will love her. [[GoodBadBugs In the end, he's right.]]]]

** Now there's Orange Peach er... Princess Daisy. She isn't really remotely ''noticed'' let alone liked In-Universe, but she has gained a growing fandom due to her character becoming the ''new'' MemeticLoser and ButtMonkey in {{Fanon}} and meta-wise, ''especially'' with Rosalina's introduction and fast [[EnsembleDarkhorse rise to stardom]].

** Inverted with [[JerkJock Kevin]]. InUniverse, Kevin's very popular with the other characters aside from the Eds and the Kankers, but he's also [[TheScrappy the third most hated/least popular in the series]], after [[RedheadedBully Lee Kanker]] (2nd) and Ed's [[BrattyHalfPint sister, Sarah]] (1st).

** Then there's The Doctor himself. His own people hate him most of the time. There are star systems that want him dead, and not just his mortal enemies like the Cybermen or Daleks. Even people he's saved have no love for the poor guy. Queen Victoria knighted him and exiled him all at once. And helped fund Torchwood, which originally considered him public enemy number one. Of course, being the titular character of the world's longest running sci-fi show, he's beloved by fans around the world, in any of his [[TheNthDoctor many, many incarnations.]]

* ''ComicBook/{{Deadpool}}'' might be one of Marvel's most popular characters right now, but he's disliked by heroes and villains alike. He's one of the most talented mercenaries in the Marvel Universe (he beat {{Taskmaster}} with his hands cuffed behind his back) but he can barely get a job because of his bad reputation. That and his ChronicHeroSyndrome normally kicking in only when he's employed by the bad guy, and vice versa for when he's working with the heroes...

** Maud Pie, Pinkie's older sister. Pinkie adores her to bits, but the other members of the mane cast are put off by her extremely [[TheStoic Stoic]] mannerisms, [[CreepyMonotone monotone voice]], apparent dullness, and her obsession with rocks. They fail in bonding with her and even express that they don't really consider her a friend since they have virtually nothing in common with her. The fanbase however finds her quite intriguing and even [[TheComicallySerious hilarious]].

* In ''Webcomic/{{Nebula}}'', Earth and Pluto are both quite unpopular with the other characters, with Earth being seen as annoying and nosy and Pluto being seen as creepy. Fans, on the other hand, find it very easy to emphasize with how both of them [[IJustWantToHaveFriends just want to have friends]] (and know thanks to a SympatheticPOV that Pluto is just a MisunderstoodLonerWithAHeartOfGold), and find the two of them to be adorable.

** Crocker too, although he has become more a BaseBreaker (and even a borderline scrappy) case due to his overexposure and {{Flanderization}} in later seasons, especially in Season 9.
