-->-- '''Opening Narration'''

For the first time in 25 years, an Ultraman is sent to earth to protect it from aliens and monsters which would start to appear again. The Ultra Father entrusts the earth to their newest member, Ultraman Mebius. Under the guise of Mirai Hibino, Mebius joins the earth defense team GUYS in the Japan branch to better fend off threats to its people. What follows is an epic loveletter to the entire UltraSeries and capstone to the original Ultramen.

----
The Show provides examples of:

* ActionBomb - Ultraman Taro's "Ultra Dynamite" attack, which Mebius bases his own "Mebium Dynamite" attack on. (Taro's lifespan [[CastFromHP shortens a bit]] when he uses it - it's not clear if Mebius' does as well.)
* AntiHero - Hunter Knight Tsurugi/[[spoiler: Ultraman Hikari]]
* AsLongAsThereIsEvil - Yapool's enmity is everlasting
* BadassGrandpa- The Showa Ultras
* BareFistedMonk - Ultraman Leo. Doesn't use projectile attacks much. Doesn't need them.
* BigBad - [[SortingAlgorithmOfEvil Several]]. First, Bogal. Then, Yapool. Then, the four heavenly Generals (of which Yapool is one). Finally, the overall Ultra Big Bad: The Emperor/Emperor-Seijin.
* BigDamnHeroes - The Ultra Brothers each get an episode that builds up to them doing this.
* BigFancyHouse - Teppei's rich family has one.
* ChekhovsBoomerang[=/=]ContinuityNod: Mebius is revived in one episode when Konomi deploys [[spoiler: the Magnerium Medicalizer, the same weapon the Ultra Garrison used to revive Ultra Seven when he was crucified.]]
* CombiningMecha - The Gun-Phoenix
* CoolShip - Quite a few of the Super Prototypes GUYS has fall in this category.
* CurbStompBattle - The Emperor vs. [[spoiler: pretty much everyone and anyone. He oneshots or curbstomps everyone.]]
* DangerousForbiddenTechnique - All METEOR technology made available to GUYS is treated like this as it is reverse-engineered alien technology. To safeguard against its use, it can only be activated for 1 minute.
* DangerouslyGenreSavvy - Yapool and Mephilas. They both recognize the power of TrueCompanions and humans.
* [[spoiler:DeadPersonImpersonation: Mirai Hibino]]
* EliteMooks - Imperizers. MadeOfIron {{Determinator}}s with a HealingFactor to make Wolverine blush---recovering even when being blasted apart into chunks. To stop it, they have to blow it into very TINY bits, or it will just recover. Even when they are mass produced, it takes the crew's most powerful attacks and no-nonsense tactics to take them down. Every time they show up is a guaranteed "OhCrap" moment.
* EnergyBeing - All Ultramen.
* FailureHero - GUYS subverts the usual human defense team and the whole series makes it a plot point that the Ultra's are protecting humanity until ''they can fight together as equals''.
* FallenHero - For once, it's Zetton. Unlike previous series, this time it's one of candidate new capsule monsters to assist GUYS team. Unfortunately, its case got droped on floor and malfunction, turn Zetton to evil once more.
* FiveManBand - The GUYS Crew and the Ultra Brothers
** GUYS Crew:
*** TheHero - Mirai Hibino/Ultraman Mebius
*** TheLancer - Ryu Aihara
*** TheBigGuy - George Ikaruga
*** ActionGirl - Marina Kazama
*** TheSmartGuy - Teppei Kuze
*** TheChick - Konomi Amagi
*** TheObiWan - Commander Shingo Sakomizu
** Ultra Brothers
*** TheHero - Ultraman
*** TheLancer - Ultraseven
*** TheBigGuy - Ultraman Jack or Ultraman Leo.
*** TheChick - Ultraman Ace
*** TheObiWan - Zoffy
*** TagAlongKid - Ultraman Taro
* FoodChainOfEvil - Bogal's MO.
* FunWithAcronyms - GUYS (Guards for Utility[=Y=] Situation) and METEOR (Much Extreme Technology of Extraterrestrial [=OR=]igin)
* FourIsDeath - Four Heavenly Generals.
* FusionDance - [[spoiler: Once in the series finale with Mebius' TrueCompanions, and again in the Movie with Mebius and all the Ultra Brothers]]
* GeniusBruiser - As revealed in ''Hikari Saga'', Ultraman Hikari was a scientist.
* {{Homage}} - LOTS. Tsuburaya Pro had several shows and years to go through; it might be faster to list what wasn't referenced.
* HourOfPower: Besides the Ultras, there's also the [[FunWithAcronyms METEOR]] technology that GUYS uses, which is limited to just ''one'' minute of use before it deactivates.
* HumanAliens: Mirai Hibino
* IdiotHero - Mirai is in the Naive version of this trope.
* IHaveManyNames - Ultraman King says this of himself in one of the ''Hikari Side Story'' episodes - King's just the name he uses on Earth.
* ImportedAlienPhlebotinum - METEOR is this, being reverse-engineered from wrecked alien ships.
* IncendiaryExponent - Mebius' Burning Brave form, and the fiery wings of GUYS Japan.
* {{Kaiju}} - It's Ultraman! They have three types, though. Regular Monsters, Aliens and "Super Beasts".
* HeyItsThatVoice - Lots and lots!
** Since the original actor was unavailable, [[HiroyaIshimaru Ultraman Taro]] sounds suspiciously like [[MazingerZ Kabuto Kouji]]. "STORIUUUUM KOUSEN!"
** Because he ''is'' the original voice actor[[labelnote:*]] Would've been ''79'' during Mebius' run[[/labelnote]], KatoSeizo voices Mephilas-Seijin.
** RyuseiNakao voices Nackle-seijn in TheMovie.
* {{Meganekko}} - Konomi, to the point where, in one episode, nobody notices her when she tries out contacts.
* MilestoneCelebration
* MythologyGag - It's hard to go an episode without one, be it a returning monster or something else.
* OhCrap - Lots of times. Yapool, Mephilas, Imperizers and the Emperor all elicit this response at least once. Emperor takes the cake, as the merest act of landing on earth elicits this (and a whole bunch of explosions).
* TheManBehindTheMan - [[spoiler: The Emperor is implied to have used most of the events in the series to his advantage to ensure his arrival.]]
* TheJuggernaut - [[spoiler: The Emperor, again]].
* ThemeMusicPowerUp - Happens A LOT.
* ThePowerOfFriendship - Mebius gains more power from his friends than anything else.
* RagtagBunchOfMisfits - Lampshaded. Mirai brings them together because he saw them act bravely beforehand. How else can you get a Motorcycle ace, a Soccer Star, a Preschool Teacher and a Medical Student all on your team?
* ReunionShow - Mostly the movie, but also the last major story arc (starting near the midpoint of the series) so that for the final 4 episodes before the finale, the heroes teamed up with the previous Ultramen (and their actors).
** And a literal version in the episode of the final arc that showcases ''UltramanEighty''.
* SacrificialLamb - The first GUYS team is killed off in the first episode, save for one. The GUYS team for the rest of the series is formed in the next episode. Later, during the Grand Finale, [[spoiler: Ryu and Mirai bite the bullet, They get better.]]
* SecretKeeper:[[spoiler: around the halfway point, Mirai reveals his true identity to GUYS.]]
* SortingAlgorithmOfEvil - Used straight and subverted whenever the Elite Mook Imperizers show up.
* SpellMyNameWithAnS - Mebius or Moebus? Kilbeam of Kerubim? Bogar or Bogal? The list goes on and on with the monsters names.
* SuperPrototype - Any GUYS machine equipped with METEOR technology.
** The first Imperizer has regenerate ability and can reform its arm as a large blade. But since mass production Imperizer keep the teleportation ability, they number made up for that.
* SuperSenses - Marina has extremely good hearing and George's eyesight is unparalleled.
* TakeUpMySword: Before Hikari was PutOnABus, he gave [[TransformationTrinket Knight Brace]] to Mebius, allow Mebius to enter [[SuperMode Brave Mode]]. [[spoiler:In battle against Emperor, Ryu become Hikari's host after Serizawa passed away.]]
* TransformationIsAFreeAction-Averted in episode 22 when a Bogal attacks Mirai as he Transforms.
* TransformationTrinket: Mebius' Mebium Brace and Hikari's Knight Brace.
* TrueCompanions - GUYS crew, but especially important to the Ultramen as a whole who consider all of the people of earth part of their TrueCompanions.
* VillainousBreakdown - The Reflectian appears to be honorable alien at first. It's well mannered in its speech, always using honorific, and even spares Mebius after their first battle, claiming that he's too weak. After Mebius manage to [[NotSoInvincibleAfterall damage its shield]], it quick to use the GUYS crew as hostages.
* WhatTheHellHero - Given to Mebius by Ryu in ''the very first episode'' because he let the monster destroy buildings as he dodged the attacks.
* WhyDidItHaveToBeSnakes - George's irrational fear of the ''ocean''.
* YouHaveFailedMe - Lampshaded by the target. [[spoiler: Poor Mephilas...]].
--> [[spoiler: Mephilas]]: "[[spoiler: Emperor!]] Have I become a useless piece in this game? Alas!" ([[StuffBlowingUp Explodes]])
* YouHaveOutLivedYourUsefulness - Used by Yapool in the movie without so much as a word beforehand. Made all the more mean-spirited because the ally in question was in the middle of a Monologue about how he and Yapool would be teaming up.
