'''Ilsa:''' Because sex can't always get you what you want. And Theo can be stubborn, it's in our nature. But if you can't get in his pants, you can certainly get in his stomach. Never hurts to have a bit of leverage.

* One of the proposed ways of sabotaging Osana's attempts at winning Senpai's affections (not programmed into the game yet, but planned) in ''VideoGame/YandereSimulator'' involves this trope. Osana's made an extra lunch for Senpai to have with her to invoke this trope. Yandere-chan can, if she so chooses, poison Senpai's meal with an emetic to make him sick and less likely to accept her love confession. Or she could poison Osana's meal in an attempt to get her alone and kill her quietly. Of course, she ''could'' just straight up poisoning Osana's meal with a lethal poison, but having Senpai witness his childhood friend die in front of her may have...unintended consequences.

* In ''Anime/{{Colorful}}'', Makoto's mother spends most of the film making homemade meals, much of which the main character refuses to eat because of his resentment towards her. [[spoiler: Mitsuru yells at him about this toward the end of the film, as before Makoto had tried to commit suicide, she always bought prepackaged meals, and is now putting in far more effort that he is cruelly refusing]].

* ''Series/UnsolvedMysteries'': ''Fritz and the Soldiers'' featured a story about a young boy whose mother sheltered a few German and American soldiers under her roof, convincing them to leave their weapons aside and have the soup she was cooking. They entertained her son and one of the Germans even looked at a wound on a American's soldier and offered his recommendations and later all looked up at the stars before retiring to bed. 50 some years later, the grown-up Fritz reunited with one of them on the GI's own Golden Anniversary, [[BookEnds where they had the soup they shared long ago.]]

* A non-romantic version occurs in ''[[VideoGame/FireEmblemElibe Fire Emblem: Binding Blade]]'' with ChildMage Lugh. Half of his supports start with or involve him bringing leftover baked goods to the other person and them getting flustered over it (his friend Chad acts like a classic {{Tsundere}} over it). In one case he does this with the ''wyvern'' belonging to Miledy.
