* The "no time to panic" can apply to TV shows themselves, also. An example: ''Series/{{House}}'' struggled in the ratings shortly after its debut, so {{FOX}} [[ExecutiveMeddling decided that the show needed a]] {{villain}}. By the time the episodes with the newly-created Edward Vogler actually ''aired'', the show was already a big hit. Apparently, the writers knew what they were doing all along.

* ''Series/StarTrekVoyager''. In "Projections", the Emergency Medical Hologram is switched on to find that Voyager's crew has disappeared, then finds the Kazon have taken the ship, then discovers the [[TomatoInTheMirror crew are holograms]] and he's BecomeARealBoy, then Reginald Barclay from ''Series/StarTrekTheNextGeneration'' appears to inform him that he's actually Lewis Zimmerman, the creator of the EMH program, who's gone insane and thinks he's a hologram. Naturally NoSocialSkills Reg starts this explanation by telling the EMH not to panic, when he's clearly panicking himself.

** In chapter 1, after informing Chell she might have "a very minor case of severe brain damage" from being in suspended animation for so long, Wheatley hastily adds "But don't be alarmed! Although, if you ''do'' feel alarmed, try to hold on to that feeling, because that is the proper reaction to being told that you've got brain damage."
