* René St. Charles from Literature/Samhain Island is described as having "muscles that could rival a wrestler" and does most of the dirty work. If it wasn't for the intervention of Miss Vargas

Trope misuse as written. Reworked Yammy, who is this trope and removed Nnoitra, who is not this trope.
* Yammy Llargo and Nnoitra Gilga from Manga/Bleach are Aizen's brutes. The former is the classic stereotype, being a DumbMuscle bruiser, whose powers are linked to size and strength, while Nnoitra is a ering hardcore BloodKnight and StrawMisogynist. Both rely entirely on brute force, both are utterly despicable, and neither has any empathy for anybody. Kenpachi Zaraki is this for all of Soul Society.

As a result, he is a ering hardcore BloodKnight viewed as an embarrassment by the Espada and StrawMisogynist. Kenpachi Zaraki is this for all of an unworthy opponent by the Soul Society.Reapers.

He is usually a bully, with an hot temper, and more often than not, also very stupid, though there are exceptions. SuperStrength and NighInvulnerability are common among Supervillain powered varieties. Female brutes are rare outside of all-women groups, although not unheard of.

* In the Literature/ErebusSequence, Golia, the most physically imposing of the Mutant Orfani, is also both the nastiest and stupidest. He's being prepared for a role as dumb muscle, but thinks he's being prepared to be the next king. (He doesn't genuinely care, and just wants to strike out at people who think they're better than him.)

* The Osthan from Literature/TheFirstDwarfKing could be seen as this; however, unusually for this trope, they avert DumbMuscle, instead being a group of Genius Bruisers.
