[[folder:Art]] * Anonymous cartoonist [[https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chris_(Simpsons_artist) Chris (Simpsons artist)]] has built an entire career on drawing the most unabashedly nonsensical cartoons that the human mind can produce, all while commenting on them with [[{{Cloudcuckoolander}} bizarre stream-of-consciousness asides to his audience]]. Everything about his work, from his [[StylisticSuck inept attempts at drawing human figures]] to his [[SpoofAesop clueless self-help advice]], contributes to its general surrealism. Case in point: he still insists on being credited as "Chris ([[WesternAnimation/TheSimpsons Simpsons]] artist)", and his [[https://www.facebook.com/TheSimpsonsArt/ official Facebook page]] is still called "Simpsons pictures that I gone and done"...even though he stopped drawing characters from ''The Simpsons'' around 2011. * Paul Kirchner's ''Dope Rider'', which appeared in the pages of the counterculture magazine "High Times" from 1975 to 1986, spins the wild misadventures of a skeletal cowboy drug-dealer, combining an assortment of Wild West tropes with dream-like imagery and FauxlosophicNarration. The main character would frequently be killed in action, only to [[UnexplainedRecovery return to life the next issue]].

* ItsSuchABeautifulDay combines Surreal Humor with SurrealHorror. Justified because the protagonist Bill is mentally (and perhaps terminally) ill, and has to deal with how his depressing (yet ridiculous) life may eventually end with premature death.

* Creator/JohnHodgman's ''Literature/CompleteWorldKnowledge'' series has this in spades, though it manages to remain intellectual throughout. In fact, most of the humor comes the juxtaposition of incredibly bizarre happenings with an [[TheComicallySerious utterly deadpan presentation]]. ''Literature/TheAreasOfMyExpertise'' alone includes LittleKnownFacts about the 50 United States (including the existence of a secret 51st state that's home to the legendary Thunderbird), a time-table for [[OurWerewolveAreDifferent different kinds of werewolves]], the claim that [[PlanetOfSteves all ringtail cats are named John McCain]], and the secret history of hobos.
