''Starry Sky'' (more commonly spelled ''Starry☆Sky'') is an OtomeGame series developed by Honeybee in 2009 for PC platform.

In this game, you are Tsukiko Yahisa ([[HelloInsertNameHere although her name can be changed]]), the first and only female student to enroll in Seigatsu Academy, an astronomy school. The series features 12 [[{{Bishounen}} good looking young men]] (3 per game), each of them [[WesternZodiac representing an astrology sign]]. So far, four games have been released, each named after a season:
* Starry Sky ~in Spring~ (released March 27, 2009): Capricorn, Pisces and Cancer
* Starry Sky ~in Summer~ (released June 26, 2009): Taurus, Scorpio and Sagittarius
* Starry Sky ~in Autumn~ (released September 25, 2009): Gemini, Leo and Libra
* Starry Sky ~in Winter~ (released December 25, 2009): Aquarius, Aries and Virgo

Every game has a PSP port with additional content, as well as a 3DS port. They also have their own fandiscs, subtitled ''After'' with the name of each season (also ported to the PSP), and an anime, released between December 2010 and June 2011, by Creator/StudioDEEN.

Each character has his own Drama CD, which were released throughout the year 2009. [[note]]Actually, the games were released as a way to provide context to the Drama [=CDs=], but they proved to be insanely popular on their own.[[/note]] [[NoExportForYou Everything Japanese only]]. However, there's a fan translation of the first game, released in 2010.

----
!!This game provides examples of:

* AdaptationDistillation: Ten minutes per episodes, twenty minutes per route. You see where this is going.
** Possibly justified, since the anime is likely treated as an advertisement for the games, which are just there to give more context to the Drama [=CDs=].
** Which maybe makes it some form of AdaptationExpansion as well. Well, the "expansion" part of the trope.
* AnguishedDeclarationOfLove: Every love interest in the series.
* AnimeAccentAbsence: Yoh, despite having spent most of his childhood in France, uses a flawless and remarkably precise Japanese, and can even get witty at times.
* BabiesEverAfter: After Spring.[[spoiler:Kanata's ending.]]
** Invoked again in [[spoiler:Homare's]] route in After Summer.
** ...and yet again in the Seiza Danna Drama [=CDs=]! [[spoiler:Specifically, at the end of Suzuya's Seiza Danna.]]
** There's [[spoiler:Miyaji's Seiza Danna]] too.
* BigEater: Yoh.
* BewareTheNiceOnes [[spoiler: Suzuya]].
* BlandNameProduct: At one point Heegan-Dazs shows up in the anime.
* CynicismCatalyst: [[spoiler: Iku Mizushima, after the death of his twin sister, he ended up losing his trust in everyone.]]
* CantHoldHisLiquor: Tsukiko's teacher Haruki Naoshi gets hyper pretty fast when he had some liquor. And the school nurse, Hoshizuki Kotarou, falls asleep after having too much.
* CashCowFranchise: First Drama [=CDs=], then visual novels for the PC (later ported to the PSP and 3DS), then an anime and finally fandiscs for each of the PC games (which were also ported to the PSP) The list of Drama [=CDs=] keeps growing.
* CastFullOfPrettyBoys: What's an otome game without it?
* DidTheyOrDidntThey: [[spoiler: Suzuya's]] route in After Spring.
* HairDecorations: Both Miyaji and Tsubasa.
* DoggedNiceGuy: Every one of her 12 love interests.
* FanTranslation: An anonymous group called Oge released a full English fan translation of Starry Sky in Spring during December 2010.
* GratuitousEnglish: The series' subtitle itself.
--> And : ''"Thank you", I wanted to tell only it.'' - Capricorn
--> And : ''I wonder when you would realize my heart.'' - Pisces
--> And : ''Well... Have I accomplished all to be done.'' - Aries
** There are as many of these as there are characters. And [[http://blog.eientei.net/wp-content/uploads/2010/02/Engrish-640x480.png chapters in the games]].
* GratuitousFrench: Yoh, who is half French, indulges in that.
** Might also be added in that category his full name, [[AsLongAsItSoundsForeign Henri Samuel Jean Aimée]]... Which is a great name, given you're 200 years old.
** [[http://blog.eientei.net/wp-content/uploads/2010/02/Track_List.jpg Mon. Dieu.]] Tell me they ''did not'' just translate "Track list" as "Truck list" right there.
* GeniusDitz: Tsubasa.
* GreenEyedMonster: Suzuya
* HappilyEverAfter: The true ends.
* HappilyMarried: The premise behind Seiza Danna (Constellation Husband).
* HelloInsertNameHere: You can change Tsukiko's name to whatever you want, as the game seiyuu have found ways around saying the protagonist's actual name to prevent breaking the illusion.
* HeterosexualLifePartners: Suzuya and Kanata, and Azusa and Tsubasa.
* HiddenEyes: Tsukiko in the original four, finally averted in After, the anime and the PSP port.
* HopelessSuitor: Shiratori.
* IllBoy: Kanata, at odds with his [[{{Tsundere}} personality]]...
* IDontWantToRuinOurFriendship: Suzuya
* IWantMyBelovedToBeHappy: Suzuya
* JustFriends: Suzuya and Kanata
* LoveTriangle
* LuckyCharmsTitle: ''Starry☆Sky''.
* MeaningfulName: It all turns around astrology.
* NiceGuy: Suzuya
* TheNicknamer: Tsubasa. Everyone has a nickname. EVERYONE.
** Except for Azusa, who is just... "Azusa" to him.
** Or Shiki, whom he also just calls Kagurazaka.
* ObliviousToLove: Somehow, Tsukiko fails to notice that 12 hot guys are in love with her.
** It get worse (better?) that in After Spring, two (three?) more candidates appeared. And After Summer adds the Idiot Trio, After Autumn a bunch of Tsukiko's classmates and in After Winter finally Ophiuchus, probably with more side-characters as potential males again.
* OffModel : The anime has more QUALITY than Mrs. Fields.
* [[OlderThanTheyLook Older Than He Looks]]: Yes, [[http://lux21.tuna.be/p/76/127376/9930532.jpg this is their homeroom teacher]].
* PiggybackCute: Suzuya
* ReluctantWarrior: Suzuya.
* StalkerWithACrush: There are three choice points in Spring where you can leave your dorm. Two out of three are to just walk outside your dorm room. Suzuya is always there. Always.
* SickeninglySweethearts: Every relationship.
* StudentCouncilPresident: Kazuki.
* SupremeChef: Suzuya.
* SheIsNotMyGirlfriend: Kanata
* {{Shiptease}}: Despite being clearly Otome game, some "cute hint" pop up.
* TheSmurfettePrinciple: Tsukiko is the only female student in the whole school.
* TechnicallyaSmile: Suzuya
* {{Tsundere}}: Oh, Kanata, you're not fooling anyone.
** Miyaji? huhu...
* {{Twincest}}: [[{{Shiptease}} Slightly hinted]] in the relationship [[spoiler: between Iku and his twin sister, probably onsided on Iku's part because his sister was in love with Kotaro. He views her as the ideal partner that he already lost in the beginning]].
* TwoGuysAndAGirl: Kanata, Suzuya and Tsukiko are childhood friends [[spoiler: ... and as it turns out, Tsukiko was also friends with Yoh as a child, although she forgot all about it.]]
* UnluckyChildhoodFriend: Suzuya is a borderline of this trope. At the beginning, he kind of gives up on Tsukiko despite being madly in love with her out of consideration for his friend Kanata, [[{{Tsundere}} wh-who's not in love with her at all or anything like that, okay!!]]
* WesternZodiac: The personalities of each original bachelor (13) are partly supposedly based on the signs' personality traits.
* {{Yandere}}: Suzuya. There's a reason Tsubasa calls him Scary Guy, you know.
** Specifically, in Spring, [[spoiler:Tsukiko is given a love letter. She rejects it. The guy isn't pleased, and ambushes her later on. Kanata shows up, and if you choose to go and get Suzuya, Tsukiko will run into Yoh. The two go back to the rooftop to find Suzuya, adjusting his uniform and standing over the guy.]] Not to mention the constant warnings he gives her regarding his jealousy...
*** And then in After Spring, [[spoiler:Tsukiko is approached by two guys. Suzuya doesn't like this, and proceeds to beat them black and blue. It takes Tsukiko begging him to stop to get him off them.]]
** Iku. At first he's a yangire but he will eventually turn into this if you choose his route.
** Summer has Homare and Winter has Hayato.
* YouGottaHaveBlueHair: And white, and red, and purple...
