The issue wasn't a gender double-standard, it's that the character he slept with had been his surrogate mother only a few months before hand.
* ''Series/{{Angel}}''. Connor had a PlotRelevantAgeUp that turned him into a sixteen year old boy after growing up in a hell dimension [[YearInsideHourOutside that ran at a faster time]]. The following year he ends up sleeping with 22 year old Cordelia and his age is repeatedly stated to be eighteen. They could have plausibly made him seventeen, so Connor would be the same age Series/{{Buffy|the Vampire Slayer}} was when she had sex with 243-year old Angel, [[DoubleStandard but well...]]

Connor had is kidnapped as a PlotRelevantAgeUp that turned him into a sixteen year old boy after growing baby and forced to grow up in a hell dimension that [[YearInsideHourOutside that ran runs at a faster time]]. The following year Although Connor's return indicates he ends up sleeping with 22 year old Cordelia and is sixteen, his age is repeatedly stated changed to be eighteen. They could have plausibly made him seventeen, so Connor would be the same age Series/{{Buffy|the Vampire Slayer}} was eighteen a year later when she had sex he sleeps with 243-year old Angel, [[DoubleStandard but well...]]Cordelia. The characters in-universe are very squicked out because Connor's hellish upbringing has left him emotionally fragile, and it's only been a few months for them since Cordelia was acting as a newborn Connor's surrogate mother.

* ''Series/StepByStep'' featured Lily, the young baby of the family aging from an infant in one season, to a speaking toddler of pre-school age in the next.next - Presumably because the writers realized they had no idea what to do with a baby other than making jokes about her keeping the rest of the family awake at night.

* The TimeSkip between the end of ''Series/{{Heroes}}'' and the start of ''Series/HeroesReborn'' is supposed to be about the same length of time between the former show going off the air and the latter debuting. On sitcoms, babies are cute and give adult characters opportunities to act silly, but toddlers are of little use in comedy until they're old enough to be smart-mouths on their own. Thus, sitcom kids generally turn four or five within two years of their birth. For example, Chrissy Seaver on ''Series/GrowingPains'' or Andy Keaton on ''Series/FamilyTies''. Cases of sticking with the same child, such as [[Creator/MaryKateAndAshleyOlsen the Olsen twins]] as Michelle Tanner on ''Series/FullHouse'' or Erin Murphy as Tabitha Stephens on ''Series/{{Bewitched}}'', are the exception.

* On ''WesternAnimation/FamilyGuy'', Cleveland Jr. was a child between the age of 7-10; on the spinoff ''TheClevelandShow'', he is now 14 and looks completely different even though no one else has aged. Peter comments on this in the pilot episode. Subverted. [[spoiler:It's revealed that Fat Cleveland Jr is actually a spy who killed and replaced the original Cleveland Jr]].

* Coco was originally presented as Franchise/CrashBandicoot's pre-teen sister but beginning with ''VideoGame/CrashNitroKart'' she hit puberty. Her design became curvier and she ditched the overalls for [[BareYourMidriff a short t-shirt]] and jeans. She seemed to age again in ''VideoGame/CrashOfTheTitans'', where she seems slightly older, and finally again in ''VideoGame/CrashMindOverMutants'' where she looks more like a young adult.
