* ''WebAnimation/{{Pantsahat}}'': In "[[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QYyvKxZ1BM0 They Should've BANNED me from the Movies Sooner]]", Tahu smuggles in a whole rotisserie chicken in his coat pocket, keeps a microwave under the theater seats, and has a mini-fridge in the ventilation system. He then pulls out a whole tray stacked with food from under his coat, and hands it to Turskit, causing her to get banned from the theater. And it turns out he doesn't even eat all the food, he ''sells it from the bathroom''.

Removing general examples.

* Good ''God'' movie theaters. They strictly enforce the "no outdoor food or drink allowed" rule like a law and snacks tend to cost more than the actual movie ticket -- it can easily cost you a hard $20 for nothing more than some popcorn and a drink for a single person. At the very least some theaters offer a free refill, but even then you're not even getting close to $20 worth of food.
** Theatre owners have justified this as being due to the low margins they make on the tickets themselves. As most profit goes to the studios, the concessions are critical for making a profit for the theatre.
* Food vendors located beyond security checkpoints at airports ("airside" in aviation parlance) are a downplayed example. Prices at these restaurants are definitely higher for the same quality of food compared to similar restaurants, and budget-conscious travelers do bring in outside food to save money when they're waiting for their flight. However, it's a downplayed example for a couple reasons. One, security itself does not ban food from airside, only liquids above 100 millilitres. Two, in the case of water many airports have installed water fountains airside designed for water bottles so that travelers can fill up with an empty water bottle that passes security.

When the little boy shows everyone the Coca-Cola can he found in the minibar, the bellhop politely informs the parents they'll be billed $3.50 for it (at the time, soda in most vending machines ran around 50¢/can.)
