** In the livestream that spawned [[{{Gonk}} "canon" human!Bill]], Hirsch mentioned that, though he was fine with people doing it, the amount of SelfFanservice portraits of [[BigBad Bill]] [[EldritchAbomination Cipher]] does confuse him slightly.

* Paddington and Company Limited, the owners of the ''Literature/PaddingtonBear'' franchise, understandably does not approve of pornographic images of their family-friendly characters (especially their namesake), as the company's name appears on [[ImageBooru e621's]] [[https://e926.net/wiki/show/avoid_posting Do Not Post]] list.[[note]]It initially seemed they were forbiding ''all'' imagery relating to the characters over there, but it was later clarified that only explicit imagery featuring their characters are forbidden; SafeForWork posts are still allowed.[[/note]]

* How many fanfics do ''you'' know that have caused International Incidents? ''Agony In Pink'' was a ''Franchise/PowerRangers'' badfic where the Pink Ranger gets tortured and killed - in ''lengthy'' detail - by a monster created by Lord Zedd. It resulted in [[http://www.auspaytv.com/archive/news99-00/n080200.txt the newsgroup it was posted on getting banned in Australia]], and is believed to be responsible for the complete removal of adult fanfic from [[Website/FanfictionDotNet Fanfiction.Net]]. The lemon-fics returned to the site, once all the furor gradually evaporated over time, but now they're rated (by which we mean disguised) as "Mature" . However, virtually all of the original lemon-fics which got deleted by the administrators never did get posted again. Fortunately for self-proclaimed perverts everywhere, Adultfanfiction.net remains to take the burden off its shoulders. And if Fanfiction.net ever carries out its threat of banning M-rated fanfiction too (unlikely unless there's ANOTHER International Incident), well, AFF.net's rating system can take those as well.
* ''Series/MythBusters''' Adam Savage KNOWS that Rule 34 applies to his own show, and HAS seen things he wishes to [[BrainBleach unsee]]. [[http://twitter.com/donttrythis/status/2541204042 He says so here.]] During the reunion episode, the cast [[http://www.discovery.com/tv-shows/mythbusters/videos/milfbusters/ briefly discusses "MILFBusters"]]. Savage owns a copy of the parody, but claims he's never watched it. Kari Byron has seen it, and thought it was hilarious.

* Creator/GearboxSoftware CEO Randy Pitchford posted the ''Videogame/{{Battleborn}}'' porn subreddit [[http://i.imgur.com/UpylZcS.png on his twitter]], seemingly as a way to draw attention to the game. This instead backfired and led to the subreddit (which was fairly empty and recently created at that point) to be filled with trolls mocking the game and posting Overwatch porn instead.

* In the late '80s, Creator/LarryNiven granted permission to a fan, Elf Sternberg, to write a fanfic based on Niven's ''Literature/KnownSpace'' universe. The story Sternberg wrote and posted to {{Usenet}} was, in Niven's words, "a sadomasochistic homosexual gangbang" involving the kzinti, Niven's [[ProudWarriorRace warlike]] [[CatFolk felinoid]] alien race. Niven threatened to sue Sternberg, who withdrew the story, but that doesn't stop bootleg copies of it from circulating. Subsequently, Sternberg incorporated some concepts from his fic into his own series, ''Literature/TheJournalEntries'', which is essentially an erotic MegaCrossover of various SF works with the SerialNumbersFiledOff. Niven would later open up the ''Known Space'' universe to other authors in the Man-Kzin Wars series of story collections.

* ''ComicStrip/BeetleBailey'' creator Mort Walker was way ahead of his fans on this one. He once drew [[MsFanservice Ms. Buxley]] nude and released the drawing as a limited edition series of art prints. Walker and his staff also make several dirty gag strips that never make it past the sketch level. Mostly, they do this for their own amusement, but some of the strips has been published in Scandinavian magazines. With Walker's blessings, of course.

* Phil and Kaja Foglio originally wrote erotic fiction before ''Webcomic/GirlGenius'', so normally they would be all over this stuff. They claim on their blog that their lawyer recommended they not read any Girl Genius fanfic until they have completely finished the webcomic, to avoid any claims of plagiarism.
