* Subverted in the ''Literature/VorkosiganSaga'' where the eight-foot-tall CuteMonsterGirl, Sergeant Taura had been told that pink would make her look less intimidating. Because of this, most of her civilian wardrobe is a nearly fluorescent pink that does NOT work on her. One of the running gags in Winterfair Gifts is the efforts of the rest of the cast to correct her of this fallacy.

** Played with in ''Series/KaizokuSentaiGokaiger''. The gimmick of copying previous Rangers already mixes up the GenderedOutfit thing, but in the ''Gavan'' crossover movie, the entire team briefly uses pink Ranger Keys. However, it was ''ultra'' rare for someone not the Pink Ranger to wear pink. That all-pink morph may have been the first time.

* In 2013, Toys/NerfBrand started producing and selling a line of pink, white, and purple blasters, called the [[http://nerf.wikia.com/wiki/Rebelle Nerf Rebelle]] line. Most of the toys are 'reshells,' using the same internal components of existing toys, just with a much smoother, less rugged or militaristic outer design, such as the [[EverythingsDeaderWithZombies Zombie Strike]] "[[http://nerf.wikia.com/wiki/Hammershot Hammershot]]" becoming the "[[http://nerf.wikia.com/wiki/Sweet_Revenge Sweet Revenge]]" or the "[[http://nerf.wikia.com/wiki/Firestrike_%28N-Strike_Elite%29 Firestrike]]" becoming the "[[http://nerf.wikia.com/wiki/Star_Shot Star Shot]]". At least they had the good taste to reshell several of the better, more popular guns to begin with. The only one that can claim much in the way of actual originality is the "[[http://nerf.wikia.com/wiki/Heartbreaker_Bow Heartbreaker Bow]]," but unfortunately it is one of the most ReliablyUnreliableGuns of the product line. The "Secrets and Spies" sub-line retains a more feminine design aesthetic and even includes entirely new, non-reshelled weapons, but favors purple instead of pink.
