This is common on girls in fiction, [[AnimalGenderBender despite the peacock flared train being a feature of male peafowl]] in RealLife[[note]]females, called peahens, can flare out their tail feathers, but it's not for mating, and it's nowhere nearly as grand as the males[[/note]], but such a flamboyant thing on a human guy would be, well, [[AmbiguouslyGay flamboyant]]. So it's often human girls that have this, although a guy having one isn't entirely unheard of.
