* VideoGame/RondoOfSwords: After completing the game on either ending of either path, you will start a new game from Chapter 1 upon selecting the finished game's save file. But this time around, all equipment, money, Items, and Skills your men have learned throughout the old game will be carried over to the new game. Moreover, Serdic, Margus and Kay will have all the Skills you set them with from the last mission, and they, along with the allies you have recruited will start with 99 Skill Points.

* VideoGame/NobodySavesTheWorld: Beating the game once lets you carry over all of your experience, Form grades, and collected power-ups into a new world layout. However, every enemy will scale to your level, all of the dungeons gain additional difficulty mods (such as OneHitKill for both you and the enemies, or disabling Mana Regen on your attacks), and the only way to progress through the main plot is by clearing the side dungeons, as they become the sole source of the star charges that unlock the legendary dungeons.

The 2024 remaster of the first three games adds a New Game+ option after beating a game once and they make the new run a lot harder with several changes:
** Health kits no longer appear and are replaced with ammo. Lara also doesn't begin a game with health kits. In the second game, collecting all three secret statues in a level will give Lara health kits instead of ammo or guns.
** Lara starts the game with all weapons.
** All enemies deal far more damage and have way more health. Traps also deal more damage.
** Save crystals from the first and third games are reinstated as the only way to save your progress. The first game can only be saved at the crystal's location while the third game lets you collect them and save whenever you want, which is how they worked originally.
** All friendly/neutral [=NPCs=] in the second and third games will automatically be hostile towards Lara.
** In the third game where Lara is captured and loses her weapons and supplies, they stay gone as they did in the original game.

New Game+ is when a video game offers the player the option of starting a new game by accessing a previous previously finished game, allowing you them to start with improved stats, new costumes, items won beforehand, or milestones that make things more convenient. There are several benefits for doing this:

* Similarly, some games lock their most exotic or experimental equipment behind New Game +, especially if they break the game or, inversely, don't work as well as the rest.
* It gives the player a chance to use the BraggingRightsReward on something more significant than leftover Mooks, allowing you to see just how powerful it really is (or isn't). Such rewards are typically awarded at the very end of the game, and thus would otherwise see little actual use.

* New Game + is also generally a good excuse to replay the game in a more convenient fashion, such as making different decisions in choice-based games, or turning on fun cheats like filters and invincibility that don't unlock until you've beaten the game once.
* If a game lets you carry over your cosmetics or equipment, you can replay the early hours with the look you prefer the characters to be in.
