->'''Twilight Sparkle:''' ''I don't know what she's talking about, I'm not a recluse! Now let's finish this quick so [[HypocriticalHumor I can get back to posting]] ''[[HypocriticalHumor My Little Human]]'' [[HypocriticalHumor pictures on 4-Colt.]]''

On AprilFoolsDay of 2011, Sonic Paradox, the creators of ''WebVideo/SonicF'', put up what was supposed to be the sixth episode of their series but was instead an AbridgedSeries treatment of the first episode of ''WesternAnimation/MyLittlePonyFriendshipIsMagic''. There were a lot of annoyed fans, but a staggering number of amused ones as well...

So much so, that the creators decided to turn it into a full-fledged AbridgedSeries, and ''[[http://www.youtube.com/view_play_list?p=B4B540A6E48FEE56 My Little Pony: Camaraderie Is Supernatural]]'' was born.

Like all the other abridged series, this one has been blocked from Youtube in the United States on copyright grounds. You can currently find the series on this website: http://elementsofparody.com/

----
!This AbridgedSeries provides examples of:
* AffectionateParody: Literally [[InvokedTrope invoked]] as part of the Sixth Element of Parody, "Faithfulness to the Source Material".
* TheAlcoholic: Twilight. Oh so much.
* AlternateCharacterInterpretation: Naturally. "Alternate Interpretation" is even one of the Elements of Parody, specifically Applejack's inconsistent accent. [[invoked]]
* AprilFoolsDay: The series started out as one in 2011, before they decided to do the series.
** April Fools 2012 was basically [[spoiler: [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wmPVICsfZDw&feature=plcp&context=C47bd0e7VDvjVQa1PpcFO2qTsB2UA73qVHTO4-LVbYnXg7eXkAu8s= a toy Pinkie Pie running over a lot of characters]]. [[TakeThatScrappy And]] [[SonicX Chris]].]]
* AuthorFilibuster: Twilight's speech about the Elements of Parody in episode 2 kinda sounds like ''someone'' getting on their soapbox about what should go into a great parody.
* BatmanGambit: Princess Celestia in the first two episodes, [[LampshadeHanging Lampshaded]] by that very name, twice within the first two episodes.
* BigGood: Celestia in the series, [[spoiler: [[Series/DoctorWho The Doctor]] in the meta scale of this series]]
* CallBack: In episode 3, "Freakin' Murphy's Law!"
* ComedicSociopathy: Rarity [[DroppedABridgeOnHim stabs Steven Magnet in episode 2]] for suggesting her tail looks better on him.
* [[spoiler:CrisisCrossover]]: TheReveal in Episode 2.5 [[NarratorAllAlong about the Narrator]] [[spoiler: being the Doctor. Yes, [[Series/DoctorWho THAT Doctor.]]]]
* CrossdressingVoices: Rainbow Dash (voiced by Gamebuddy) and Fluttershy (voiced by Celestorion).
* DeadpanSnarker: Rarity gets some elements of this, which apparently qualifies her to bear the Element of Comedic Timing.
* EldritchAbomination: Accidentally summoned by Pinkie Pie in episode 3.
* {{Expy}}: Rainbow Dash for Franchise/SonicTheHedgehog. She's derived from [[CompositeCharacter multiple versions]] of the character: she shares a voice actor with the ''WebVideo/SonicF'' incarnation, classic Sonic sound effects play when she does just about anything, and she even quotes the theme song from WesternAnimation/SonicSatAM as it plays. No surprise her element is that of The Homage.
** The Shadowbolts for Shadow the Hedgehog.
* {{Foreshadowing}}: Blatantly pointed out for humor.
* FourthWallObserver: This aspect of Pinkie Pie is [[UpToEleven cranked up until the knob breaks off]]: she's played as a [=FiM=] fan voicing Pinkie Pie in an AbridgedSeries. Naturally, she bears the Element of Fourth-Wall Humor.
** [[spoiler: This also makes her Equestria's equivalent to Jesus, according to [[Series/DoctorWho The Doctor]].]]
* FreezeFrameBonus: For a less-than-a-second moment around [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X2zbp3K6ByM&feature=player_detailpage&list=PLB4B540A6E48FEE56#t=168s 2:48]] in episode 3, right after Applejack's comment regarding Capcom and Apple Bloom's aggressive marketing, this comment flashes on the screen:
--> The views and opinions expressed herein do not necessarily reflect those of Camaraderie is Supernatural cast and crew. However, we eagerly anticipate the longest day of the thousandth year, in which the stars shall aid in Mega Man Volnutt's escape from his orbiting lunar prison.
* GenreSavvy: Fluttershy, apparently. After the battle with the manticore:
-->'''Twilight Sparkle:''' Wait, what did you do?\\
'''Fluttershy:''' Thorn in his paw; it pays to know your classic Aesop from time to time.
* HeroOfAnotherStory: [[spoiler: Doctor Whooves and Pinkie Pie]]
* ILied: Princess Celestia admits to this when Twilight remarks on her earlier SuspiciouslySpecificDenial.
-->'''Celestia''': I lied. I do that every once in a while.
* INeedToGoIronMyDog: In episode 3, Apple Bloom tries to duck out of the cuteceanera by saying "I've got people to go, places to meet, blah blah blah."
* LargeHam: Steven Magnet, despite appearing for less than two minutes, absolutely hams it UpToEleven in his scene.
* {{Leitmotif}}: Silver Spoon and Diamond Tiara are accompanied by "I Want You", the theme of [[Anime/PantyAndStockingWithGarterbelt Daemon Scanty and Daemon Kneesocks]].
* LemonyNarrator: One provides a tongue-in-cheek retelling of the intro to the first episode, and Pinkie Pie [[InteractiveNarrator talks to him]] as he closes out the second episode.
** [[spoiler: Not to mention being [[Series/DoctorWho The Doctor.]]]]
* NarratorAllAlong: Turns out the narrator is [[spoiler:Doctor Whoof!]]
* NoodleImplements: In Episode 3, Pinkie Pie "just got done dealing with four things and a dragon, using nothing but a fake turtle, a pair of unmatched socks, seventy-three gallons of melted butter, and [[BrickJoke an apple that conveniently showed up just in the nick of time]]!" when she meets Apple Bloom.
* NoodleIncident: The "night in Celestiajuana" that lead to Apple Bloom getting an obscene Cutie Mark.
* OohMeAccentsSlipping: Done deliberately with Applejack and {{lampshaded}} by Twilight. It bounces from Texan to Southern Belle to British in just the first episode.
* OminousLatinChanting: Parodied when Nightmare Moon destroys the Elements of Parody.
* PowerPuffGirlHands: [[spoiler: [[Series/DoctorWho The Doctor]] has these.]]
* RhetoricalQuestionBlunder: Played with in episode 2.
-->'''Twilight Sparkle:''' What do you take me for, an idiot?!\\
'''Applejack:''' As tempting as it is to give the obvious answer, I need you to trust me.
* ScrewDestiny: The entire point of the Cutie Mark Correcters in Episode 3.
* SelfDeprecation: In the Audio Commentary for episode 1, Mystic Pyro Freak openly admitted that she came up with the idea of Applejack slipping accents to make fun of the fact that she couldn't keep a consistent one.
** Pinkie saying she's in "a crappy parody series done by a talent-less hack."
** Nightmare Moon's intro has her ridicule the idea of a parody series as legitimate comedy.
--> Since when does such nonsensical, unfunny tripe qualify as comedy?
* ShoutOut: Of course!
** In the first episode alone:
*** Music from BanjoKazooie plays during Twilight's visit to Sweet Apple Acres.
*** Fluttershy leads her chorus of birds in singing the theme song to ''TheAndyGriffithShow''
** From episode 2:
*** The RPG battle finishes with Fluttershy using [[VideoGame/FinalFantasyIV Esuna]] to heal the manticore.
*** Said battle also takes elements and sound effects from both SuperMarioRPG and EarthBound.
*** Steven Magnet laments that he'll never be able to "top that scientist fellow at this year's Mustache-Off". Given the creators' previous work, he's probably talking about [[SonicTheHedgehog Dr. Eggman]].
*** The Shadow Bolts offer Rainbow Dash her own spin-off series, but she [[TakeThat loses interest]] when they mention she'd [[SonicUnderground "[play] in a band, and use music to save the world from evil."]]
*** Music from TengenToppaGurrenLagann plays when Twilight figures out how to activate the Elements of Parody, their activation is accompanied by the power-up sound effects from ''DragonBallZ'', and the main characters proceed to blast Nightmare Moon with a "Giga Parody Breaker".
*** Amusingly enough, Princess Celestia's return is accompanied by the same music as that of [[SuperMario64 another missing princess.]]
** Episode 3:
*** Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon are always accompanied by [[PantyAndStockingWithGarterbelt Scanty and Kneesocks's]] leitmotif. Their introduction even cues a drawing of them in the show's style.
*** Doctor Whooves tries to get out of buying apples by saying he's got [[Recap/DoctorWhoNSS3E10Blink "four things and a dragon"]] to deal with.
*** Rainbow Dash tries to brush off Apple Bloom by saying "I've got places to go, gotta follow my rainbow and all that", a nod to the lyrics of "City Escape" from ''VideoGame/SonicAdventure2''.
*** The "Eighties training montage" includes a parody of the intermission scene from ''VideoGame/PunchOut'', complete with appropriate music.
*** "We're making cupcakes! [...] The delicious treat, silly, and not [[Fanfic/{{Cupcakes}} the horrible abomination that corrupts your perception of everything you know and love!]]"
*** Applebloom attempts to escape the party ''VideoGame/MetalGearSolid'' style, complete with matching GameOver screen.
*** Sweetie Belle's Foul Flank censor is a ponyfied version of [[GhostInTheShellStandAloneComplex the Laughing Man]]'s logo. Scootaloo's is [[HayateTheCombatButler the "Can't Show!" sign.]]
* StealthPun: After the RPG battle in episode 2, Rainbow Dash levels up and gets +19 coolness, which prompts her to complain "Aw, crap! Just short!" [[spoiler: Assuming she had 100 coolness before, one more point would have made her [[Memes/MyLittlePonyFriendshipIsMagic 20% cooler]].]]
* StraightMan: Fluttershy's role in the series, given that this is the Element of Parody she embodies.
* SuddenVideoGameMoment: The fight with the manticore in episode 2 is turned into an RPG battle.
** Part of Apple Bloom's "eighties training montage" in episode 3 involves a nod to PunchOut.
* SuspiciouslySpecificDenial: Celestia's letter to Twilight in the first episode includes the claim that her being sent to Ponyville "totally isn't a thinly-veiled BatmanGambit meant to prevent the impending pony apocalypse. For serious."
* TakeThat: In episode 2, The Shadow Bolts offer Rainbow Dash her own spin-off series, but she loses interest when they mention she'd "[[SonicUnderground play in a band, and use music to save the world from evil]]."
** The Spooky Trees and how Pinkie deals with them in the same episode are basiclly one big jab at the show's {{Hate dumb}} and trolls.
* TalkingToHimself
** Twilight Sparkle and Applejack, the latter of whom even lampshades this.
-->'''Applejack''': Hey you sound familiar. You sure we ain't never met before?
** Rainbow Dash, Steven Magnet, and the Shadowbolts.
* TemptingFate:
-->'''Twilight Sparkle:''' I can handle this on my own. I don't need you to help me.\\
''(Cliff collapses)''\\
'''Twilight Sparkle:''' Gyah! Help me! Help me!
* {{Troll}}: The spooky trees in episode 2 are turned into this, so Pinkie Pie's "Giggle at the Ghostly" song becomes "[[TakeThat Giggle At the Griefers]]".
* WhoWritesThisCrap: Pinkie Pie quips in the first episode "Now, by appearing in a crappy parody series written by a [[SelfDeprecation talentless hack]], I know I've hit the big time!"
** Also, Nightmare Moon's second objective after bringing eternal night is [[FauxHorrific destroying all parody series.]]
-->'''Nightmare Moon''': Since when did such nonsensical, unfunny tripe qualify as comedy?!
* TheWoobie: [[invoked]] In-universe, sorta: During Fluttershy's introduction scene, [[BreakingTheFourthWall the writer breaks character]] and says he can't bring himself to make fun of her.
* YuriFan: Pinkie Pie once wrote a 24-page Apple/Dash shipping fanfic while in a pony-induced haze.
