Added DiffLines:

* Oddly applies to the Muppets ''themselves''; in ''Film/TheMuppetsTakeManhattan'', characters from ''Series/SesameStreet'' and Uncle Traveling Matt from ''Series/FraggleRock'' are present in the Muppets' performance at the end.

Added DiffLines:

* While the characters of ''Series/SesameStreet'' are a special set of Muppets on their own, it should be noted that Kermit of the original Muppets tends to show up. (Oddly, this doesn't apply to most of the other original Muppets.)

* In a 2011 episode of ''Series/TheXFactor'' (UK version), 2009 runner-up Olly Murs dueted with Miss Piggy, with backing from Fozzie, Animal and the penguins, and Statler and Waldorf at the judges' table.

Added DiffLines:

* The Muppets have appeared in some form or other at every UsefulNotes/MacysThanksgivingDayParade since 1974 - wow! Most times this has been in the form of the ''Sesame Street'' float, but the classic Muppets have appeared on occasion, and a total of four balloons (six counting redesigns) have been based on Muppet characters.

* [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tgbNymZ7vqY The Muppets Bohemian Rhapsody]]
** "Wipeout" and "Kokomo", both from the 1993 album ''Muppet Beach Party'', received music videos (though the former was a UK exclusive and the latter's video was made mainly for a sing-along songs VHS).
** Ladies and gentlemen, we give you [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EDFgtFXfnv0 Habanera, Muppet Show style]]. [[EarWorm we dare you to try and get it out of your head]].
** Not an official Muppet video, but still a popular video: [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3KANI2dpXLw here]].
** And then we have Beaker's "[[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EAtBki0PsC0 Dust in the Wind]]" cover - unfortunately, the YouTube commentors [[PaintingTheFourthWall don't agree on it being good]]... [[spoiler: until [[KillItWithFire Beaker catches fire]].]]
** Similarly, there's Beaker's "Ode to Joy" cover... [[spoiler: where one of the 6 on-screen catches fire from playing the violin too quickly]], among other hazards.

* A ''SesameStreet'' segment was filmed with Elmo and Katy Perry, with Perry wearing a rather risqué outfit. Some parents complained about the video (which had appeared on Website/YouTube, but not Sesame Street itself). News show TheEarlyShow brought in Elmo and Sesame Street Executive Producer Carol-Lynn Parente to discuss the issue. Elmo mentioned that he didn't understand what the fuss was about. (Watch the news broadcast here: [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E2QgvAuKqkg]])

** In fact, the Muppets showed up on a TON of non-Muppet shows to promote. They showed up on ESPN, talk shows galore, the abovementioned ''SaturdayNightLive'' gig with JasonSegal, and plenty of others.

* Originally, the ensemble that performed the "Christmas is #1" song on ''SaturdayNightLive'' consisted of Horatio Sanz, Chris Kattan, Jimmy Fallon, and Tracy Morgan. After the latter three left the show, Horatio performed with the Muppets.
