Whitley frequently mispronounced the name of Dwayne's girlfriend--"Kino-sabe", "Kikulu", etc. Given how ridiculously simple the girl's name was--Kinu--she was almost certainly deliberately doing it to irritate her. (the backstory on this being that Whitley wanted Dwayne for herself and resented Kinu's presence)

I think the previous user intended to do a tongue-in-cheek approach instead of literally quoting the quote.
