* ''WebOriginal/{{RWBY}}'': For some reason, most [[LittleBitBeastly faunus]] have ONE animal tell and a few special abilities. It's not clear why there has never been a single instance of both ears and tail on ANY character, but some of them accessorize with animal-shaped parts to compensate.

An interesting example in ''Anime/EtoRangers''; most of the Eto Rangers don't have tails (except for Drago, Nyorori, Monk and Tart). To make up for this, the tailless Rangers usually have ponytails and rattails shaped like the tails of the animals they represent; in Bakumaru and Pakaracchi's cases, they have a literal rattail and a literal ponytail respectively.

Crash's early concept art was drawn with a long string-like tail with a puff on the males do.end.
