* Ursula in ''Disney/TheLittleMermaid'' winds up [[RammingAlwaysWorks speared]] by the broken spar of a ship. In an original draft, she was actually going to be impaled by the Trident.
** Similarly, in ''VideoGame/KingdomHeartsII'', Ursula ends up meeting the fate given in the original storyboard where Prince Eric hurled it into her chest. Bonus points for him doing it [[ExactWords after she demanded that he give her the Trident]].
* In ''WesternAnimation/WinxClub [[TheMovie The Secret of the Lost Kingdom]]'', Mandragora is stabbed right through her body by Sky with Oritel's sword, though Bloom is the one who finishes her off right afterwards.

When someone [[HoYay just needs to]] be run through with a big rod. Bigger is better in [[FoeYay bad]]. The defining element is the shock value of the impalement. Imaginative impalements qualify. Death by bladed weapon ({{knife|Nut}}, [[KatanasAreJustBetter sword]], [[SwordFight foil]], {{l|aserBlade}}ightsaber, [[OffWithHisHead beheading]]) generally does not qualify (unless the victim is stabbed through the face or something). Garden-variety vampire stakings, à la ''Series/BuffyTheVampireSlayer'', don't count, but extraordinary stakings do count. Often appears with {{Anvilicious}} symbolism with a side dish of Freudianism.

* ''TheLegendOfZeldaTheWindWaker'': Most of the entries in the Zelda series are known for a light-hearted, cartoony sort of violence, and ''Wind Waker'' doubly so with its cel-shaded style that makes it seem like a kiddie game. But in a first for the series, here Link defeats Ganondorf by [[spoiler: running the Master Sword ''right through his face'']].
