that is malicious slander against Max Fleischer spread by Richard Williams. Max actually gave Grim the rights to Betty in the late 30's, but during the 50's a series of legal wrangles proved he didn't legally own the character
* ScrewedByTheNetwork: Grim Natwick technically created WesternAnimation/BettyBoop, but was never credited for such, and was furious about it to the day he died.
