* In RogerZelazny's short story ''Dayblood'', the titular Dayblood feed on vampires. The only Dayblood present looks (and thinks) like human and doesn't seem to be particularly evil - more like ruthlessly practical. Interesting that vampires know at least some weaknesses of the Dayblood and use appropriate protections against them.
