An American anime licensor originally founded in 1990, its big claim to fame was RevolutionaryGirlUtena and Slayers. Now defunct, sadly. Should be noted here that, as was a common practice when the company existed, they would re-score many of the animes they worked on, supposedly to make it more accessible to a American audience. This resulted in such mutilations as was done to Dominion: Tank Police. If you have the DVD release, switch back and forth between Japanese and English soundtracks. It's almost two different shows. Their divisions included "U.S. Manga Corps", "Software Sculptors", and "Anime 18", as well as a manga[=/=]comics division. ---- !!Works released by this company include: * Anime/AgentAika (Re-released by Creator/BandaiEntertainment) * Anime/AngelBlade * AlienNine * Manga/Area 88 (The OVAs; redubbed and re-released by Creator/ADVFilms.) * ArmoredTrooperVotoms * VideoGame/BattleArenaToshinden (OVA) * BirdyTheMighty (The OVA series.) * Manga/BlackJack (OVA) * Chirality * CyberCityOedo808 * DominionTankPolice (The original OVA series.) * GallForce (and sequels) * Anime/GarzeysWing * Genocyber * GraveOfTheFireflies (Re-released by Creator/ADV Films and Creator/SentaiFilmworks.) * HadesProjectZeorymer * Harlock Saga * Maetel Legend * TheIrresponsibleCaptainTylor (Re-released by NozomiEntertainment) * KokoWaGreenwood (Re-dubbed and re-released by MediaBlasters) * LaBlueGirl * MazeMegaburstSpace * MDGeist M.D. Geist (They even adopted Geist's PoweredArmor as their "Spokesmecha" and corporate symbol; the sequel and Director's Cut of the original were also made at CPM's request.
