Scot is flamboyantly, apologetically camp, into makeup, musicals, pancakes and fashion. Eric is decidedly straight acting, and tries to protect Scot and himself by forcing the boy to take up more masculine hobbies.

* ButNotTooGay - The film has been criticized for how chaste the couple are. Partly justified (at least in public) in that Eric is anxious lest he be outed by any show of physical affection. * ChristmasCarols - Scot likes to sing Christmas carols in October. * [[{{HasTwoMommies}} Has Two Daddies]] - Scot, in the end.
