* Christian Zanier gained a young audience when he illustrated several comics exclusive to the ''Franchise/{{BIONICLE}}'' graphic novels. That same audience should be advised against inputting his name in a Google search, lest they stumble upon his other comics ''not'' intended for a young audience...

** Dr. Seuss also did animation for the WWII-era cartoon shorts featuring the character PrivateSnafu, which, unlike the general audience Looney Tunes cartoons, contain a lot of things that would be considered objectionable both back in the days of UsefulNotes/TheHaysCode and now (scantily-clad women, racist caricatures of the Japanese, references to Hitler and Nazism, uses of the words "damn" and "hell"[[note]]which, back then, were almost as bad as "fuck" and "shit"[[/note]], and crude humor that would appeal to its mostly male, young military audience).

** Hiromitsu Takeda is more known for his hentai doujinshi and manga works. While his fame was earned by his style of drawing women climaxing[[note]]The "ahegao" style[[/note]] plus some notable {{Netorare}} works, he later authored mainstream {{Seinen}} work, ''Manga/MakenKi'', which even garnered its own AnimatedAdaptation. While heavy on {{Fanservice}} and [[{{ecchi}} innuendo]], ''Maken-ki!'' pales considerably to the raunchiness of his former works, focusing on action, comedy, and plot progression. Only time will tell if his resume will invert to a mainstream mangaka who was once known as a hentai mangaka.

** In the PS2 port of ''Fate/stay night'', this was done by [[spoiler:having Sakura drink Shirou's blood (which also provides mana)]], removing all references to sex, and [[spoiler:toning down Shinji's comments regarding Sakura]].

* ''VisualNovel/GakuenHeaven'' is a pretty good example of this applied to the BoysLove genre. The original PC game included sex but didn't show any penises. The sequel and the PS2 port both toned down the sex to just suggestion. The anime cleaned things up even further until the original game's ''rapist seme'' was reduced down to sexual harassment by ''elbow licking.'' The manga versions of things keep much closer to the original source material.

** Another one who joined the Shounen Jump ranks, although not the main WSJ magazine, for ''Manga/WorldsEndHarem'' Shouno Kotarou is a hentai mangaka of moderate fame, you can definitely tell the influence from his origins on how women are drawn in this work, their proportions, looks and curves are very generous to say the least.

* The remake of ''VisualNovel/KikokugaiTheCyberSlayer'' removes the explicit sex, presumably opening the novel up to a new audience nine years later.

* The anime adaptations of the TYPE-MOON adult {{Visual Novel}}s ''VisualNovel/{{Tsukihime}}'' (as ''Shingetsutan Tsukihime'') and ''VisualNovel/FateStayNight'' with the erotic content mostly toned down. It's noteworthy that sex is actually a mechanic that's important for the NasuVerse's magic system. It can be taken out of most routes without too many problems, but in the plots of Kohaku's route for ''Tsukihime'' and the Heaven's Feel route of ''Fate/stay night'', it wouldn't be quite as easy and probably take away some of the drama. Some plots/conversations might even flew over audiences' heads if the anime is their first exposure to the series because the sex elements are removed.

** Another LEAF work is ''VisualNovel/TearsToTiara'', which originated with the adult PC game. Later remade for the PS3 with (what is generally regarded as) superior character design. The anime then took the PS3's take on things.

* ''Manga/MakenKi'': The manga is drawn by Takeda Hiromitsu, who's a former hentai/doujinshi artist.

* Mayotama from ''Manga/ICantUnderstandWhatMyHusbandIsSaying'' is an in-universe example. He started off drawing {{Yaoi}}, but later switched over to {{Shonen}}.

* Now, why some of Creatro/RyokaYuzuki's roles are a {{Ecchi}} and {{Hentai}} in nature? It is because Ryoka-chan used to be a nude model prior to becoming a voice actress. But without the Rule34, though. Same with Creator/ChiakiTakahashi.

* Now, why some of Creatro/RyokaYuzuki's Take a look at the roles are a voiced by Creator/RyokaYuzuki: it seems heavy with series chock full of {{Ecchi}} and (with at least one {{Hentai}} in nature? It is title), doesn't it? That's because Ryoka-chan used to be a nude model prior to becoming being a voice actress. But actress, Ryoka was a gravure idol who posed nude, but without Rule34 in effect; similarly, Creator/ChiakiTakahashi and Creator/YurikaOchiai have also done the Rule34, though. Same with Creator/ChiakiTakahashi.same, but have focused on voice acting full-time.
