* Tsuna and Kyoko from ''Manga/KatekyoHitmanReborn'' aren't really very different in personality. They're both determined, both naive and good natured, and both very oblivious to other character's feelings for them (In Kyoko's case, Tsuna's feelings for her; In Tsuna's case, Haru and Gokudera's feelings for him). It doesn't help that due to ArtEvolution, Tsuna and Kyoko are now practically [[http://www.mangareader.net/284-20458-15/katekyo-hitman-reborn/chapter-237.html twins]].

* In ''Anime/CodeGeass'', Lelouch and C.C. resemble each other in many ways. They both have Geass powers, they are both angsty, both have problems with their admirers / love interests (Mao and Shirley, respectively, and later Rolo), and both tend to have rather calm demeanors. One of the traits that is the most similar between them is that they are both very lonely individuals. Lelouch even comes out and says to her, "You're not alone. We are accomplices. If you are a witch, then I am a warlock!"

* Non-romantic example from ''Manga/FullmetalAlchemist''- Sig Curtis and Major Armstrong hit it off immediately, both being [[GentleGiant Gentle Giants]] who love flexing their considerable muscles; Armstrong's older sister Olivier also immediately gets along well with Sig's wife, Izumi, as both of them are [[LadyOfWar Ladies of War]] with a propensity to demonstrate GoodIsNotNice.
** A villainous example: [[MadBomber Kimblee]] is the only human Pride and Envy seem to like, which says something about his [[TheSociopath morals (or lack thereof)]].

* Pops up in a semi-romantic sense (the attraction is one-sided) in ''Manga/BlackButler'': [[spoiler: Dr. Angelina "Madame Red" Durless, furious at prostitutes so casually having abortions when she can't have children herself after a terrible miscarriage, snaps and brutally murders one - and is interrupted by Grell, a shinigami. Grell, however, is a male-to-female transsexual, who's quite unhappy at having a male body. Both women are redheads, are more interested in killing than is good for them, '''and''' both are extremely frustrated that they can't give birth.]] And that's why we have UsefulNotes/JackTheRipper.

* One of the more recent arcs of ''Anime/{{Naruto}}'' has the title character develop a IntergenerationalFriendship with Killer Bee who, with all intents and purposes, is an adult version of Naruto.
** In the romantic level, Naruto eventually has this with [[spoiler: Hinata. Despite playing OppositesAttract straight personality-wise, they both suffered of loneliness and being considered as failures during their childhoods, and they grew up having a strong desire to be loved and acknowledged. Hinata is shown to identify herself with Naruto much earlier, which is why she falls in love with him first.]]

Added DiffLines:

* In ''Series/{{ParksAndRecreation}}'' despite the upbeat [[{{ThePollyanna}} Leslie]] being put off by [[{{TheCynic}} Ben's]] initial iciness it's quickly revealed they're both incredible dorks and very competent, driven government employees who just want to make the world a better place. (Amongst other things they're both masters at Model UN and roleplay political figures in their sex life.) Their surface difference also dwindle in time, as Ben loses his cynicism and Leslie becomes marginally more realistic.

* In ''Film/CaptainAmericaTheWinterSoldier'', Steve, despite apparently not having made any friends outside of SHIELD and the Avengers since defrosting, hits it off with Sam Wilson almost immediately. They're both war vets, they both lost a close friend in combat, they both have experience with PTSD (although Sam has dealt with his issues and moved on to helping others, while Steve is still struggling), and they're both straightforwardly heroic people despite the morally ambiguous spy milieu of the movie.

* The Avatar (aka [[CanonName Corrin]]) and Azura from ''Videogame/FireEmblemFates'', due to being [[ChildOfTwoWorlds Children of Two Worlds]]--the former is a Hoshido Prince/ss raised in Nohr, which is vice-versa for the latter. They're both courageous, humble, and compassionate RoyalsWhoActuallyDoSomething; they both [[InnocentlyInsensitive struggle with]] [[NoSocialSkills social norms]] due to their [[GirlInTheTower reclusive childhoods]]; and they're both caught in a war where [[SadisticChoice they have family on both sides]]. Naturally, they bond pretty quickly over all this. (Though only a male Avatar can actually romance Azura, a female Avatar just has a RomanticTwoGirlFriendship.)

** Once Tsukuyomi stops [[RunningGag running away from Oboro]], they bond over having been orphaned at early ages.
** Zero and Belka are both [[spoiler:former street urchins who were abandoned by their mothers and raised by crooked people. It's also revealed that their mothers are buried in the same graveyard.]]
** Mozume, like Hana, has two. She and Silas are both humble and [[NiceGuy nice to people]] to the point of neglecting themselves. Also, she and Flannel are both country-folk (much to the latter's chagrin) who feel somewhat out of place.
** In the DLC-available third path ''Revelations'', Arthur and Setsuna both have tendencies for mishaps while helping other, which brings them closer if their whole support chain is pursued.

** [[spoiler: Korra and Asami may have different temperaments and backgrounds, but they have plenty in common as well. They're both prodigies (Korra with her bending, Asami with her technological skill), they both have huge responsibilities (one's the Avatar, the other the heir to a technological juggernaut), they both know what it's like to deal with having to start from the bottom again (Korra with her physical condition, Asami with rebuilding Sato Industries), both are big fan of sports (and fans of the Fire Ferrets even before meeting Bolin and Mako), love speed (Asami in her cars, Korra running with Naga), both are fast learners (with the exception of airbending, Korra learns pretty fast any bending form, meanwhile Asami can pilot and drive anything) and get pretty angry when the people they love hide things from them. They are also ''VERY'' protective of their loved ones and [[http://swani-writes.tumblr.com/post/106673399313/an-interesting-development-seeing-the-ladies-at each other]].]]

[[spoiler: They're also both runaways from rich, controlling familes: Solaire from the House of Gwyn, and Maria from the Cainhurst Family.]]
