* Music/JanetJackson's "wardrobe malfunction" at the 2004 UsefulNotes/SuperBowl Halftime Show caused a shitstorm of controversy which is still occasionally joked about, and the NFL has only brought in "safe" classic rock bands (like Music/Prince, apparently) ever since. Now do you remember who was actually playing in the championship game that year? The New England Patriots beat the Carolina Panthers 32-29. Now you do. Which is sad, because it was one of the most exciting Super Bowls ever.

Of course, one person's fanservice is another's FanDisservice. This is particularly prominent ("for some reason") any time there's a dude on display in a work with any meaningful proportion of straight men in the audience. But hey, remembered positively or negatively, it's all the same in the end--hype is hype. Such tedTropesions go below all the same.

** The steamy kiss in the shower between Julie Andrews and Rock Hudson is also one of the most memorable images of the film - and it's even on the film's page on TheOtherWiki.

Added DiffLines:

* Film/TheMaskOfFuManchu is either discussed for the blatant racism of the YellowPeril plot, or one scene where Charles Starrett is stripped and then whipped - while Myrna Loy orgasmically looks on. There was such controversy about it that it's edited out of several VHS versions.

Added DiffLines:

* One of Film/TopGuns famous scenes is the volleyball game where the entire cast is shirtless.

Added DiffLines:

* As noted under the many examples listing her films, Creator/JenniferConnelly was known in the 90s and early 2000s as a MsFanservice - despite getting critical acclaim for most of her roles (critics often said she was too good for her MsFanservice moments). With Film/RequiemForADream and Film/ABeautifulMind, she transcended this trope and earned respect as a serious actress.
* UsefulNotes/ThePreCodeEra is mainly remembered for all the lewd content in films. Pre-code sex films have their own page on TheOtherWiki, and each film listed on this wiki's page for that era includes any Fanservice or sexual content.
* Creator/PamelaAnderson is the lady with the big boobs. She got a reduction in an attempt to be taken seriously - then quickly realised that wasn't working and got her implants back in.

* Film/Ten. Bo Derek runs in slow motion on the beach. In fact, anything that Bo Derek has ever appeared in has been utterly forgettable, except for her nude scenes.

* is of course widely respected as a sci-fi horror classic. But Creator/SigourneyWeaver talks about getting an absurd amount of fanmail over one brief scene - where Ripley changes from her clothes into a spacesuit. She was originally supposed to be fully naked as she changed, but distributors were worried about the film being banned overseas. Sigourney later joked that she would have got even more fanmail had she been nude.

* For a lot of viewers, the most memorable aspect of Film/Unfaithful are the wildly animalistic sex scenes between Diane Lane and Olivier Martinez.

* VideoGame/DantesInferno is either about Lucifer's enormous schlong, or it's about a more action-y take on one of the best known depictions of hell, and quite possibly being the first mass marketed media about the subject for a while.

* VideoGame/CrusaderKings II is a Creator/ParadoxInteractive grand strategy game. However, any time an expansion allows player characters to have sex with their sisters in a new way, that is all that anyone will talk about.

Added DiffLines:

* Film/DarlingLili was a rather expensive BoxOfficeBomb but its Fanservice aspects are heavily ingrained in pop culture:
** The character Crepe Suzette features considerably less in the film than one would think. She's an offscreen character and only appears in three scenes. But one of those scenes is the BadGirlSong "Your Goodwill Ambassador", where she performs a striptease for an adoring crowd.
** Lili's striptease in the DarkReprise of "I'll Give You Three Guesses" is remembered precisely because she was played by Julie Andrews, who was trying to shake her goody-two-shoes image.
** The steamy kiss in the shower between Julie Andrews and Rock Hudson is also one of the most memorable images of the film - and it's even on the film's page on TheOtherWiki.

Added DiffLines:

* When it comes to Wrestling/RusevAndLana, a lot of people tend to forget that Lana is quite a good talker and manager - because they're too busy drooling over the shorts skirts and BlondeRepublicanSexKitten image. This is especially ironic because there's nothing particularly sexual about her character.
