* Eric left ''{{That 70s Show}}'' after the end of the seventh season, and Kelso left four episodes into the eighth. Both return for the final episode (or rather, final ''scene'' in Eric's case). Counts in-universe too, as the series finale was New Year's Eve 1979.
* Jimmy Doherty (Eddie Cibrian), Kim Zambrano (Kim Raver) and "Doc" Parker (Michael Beach) returned for ''ThirdWatch's'' finale, although only Doc had lines.

* Every season finale of ''ComicBook/TransformersMoreThanMeetsTheEye'' brings back as many major and minor characters as possible, even if it's just for bit cameos. For instance, issue 50 goes out of it's way to give all the recurring characters brief appearances before the big showdown between the Lost Light crew and the DJD. This is done partly as a preventative measure, so that the comic could still end with a degree of closure/satisfaction if it didn't get picked up for more issues.

* The series finale of ''WesternAnimation/AvatarTheLastAirbender'' brings back some of the older characters [[spoiler:with the introduction of the White Lotus Society.]]
* For its SequelSeries ''WesternAnimation/TheLegendOfKorra'', many C-list characters are brought back for the GrandFinale as part of a band at [[spoiler: Varrick and Zhu Li's]] wedding.

* The series finale second half of the final season of ''WesternAnimation/AvatarTheLastAirbender'' brings back some of damned near ''everyone'' for the older big finale. Major players who haven't been seen in a while, recurring characters, and even minor one-shot characters [[spoiler:with like June and the introduction of Machinist. The few characters who don't appear or have died are mentioned or cameo in some way or another. It's like the White Lotus Society.]]
writers didn't want to leave out anyone!
* For its Its SequelSeries ''WesternAnimation/TheLegendOfKorra'', many ''WesternAnimation/TheLegendOfKorra'' repeats this. Many C-list characters or characters who had been written out are brought back for the GrandFinale as part of GrandFinale, even if it's just to make a band brief cameo at [[spoiler: Varrick and Zhu Li's]] wedding.

* Happens at the end of every ''Franchise/AceAttorney'' game. The first game has Larry, the second Lotta, the third Edgeworth, the fourth Kristoph, and the fifth Apollo. That's not even counting the credits montage that's each character talking to Phoenix/Apollo in turn.
** The Phoenix Wright examples go further, with Will Powers appearing at the end of JFA and Larry appearing in T&T (Adrian Andrews appears as well, but only on Case 2 and in the post-credits).
** Additionally, Wendy Oldbag from ''Phoenix Wright'' games 1 and 2 appears in a brief TheStinger at the end of T&T.
** Further, Mike Meekins, from case 1-5, appears in the flashback case in the 4th game, and in ''VisualNovel/AceAttorneyInvestigationsMilesEdgeworth'', along with the aforementioned Wendy Oldbag and Larry Butz.

* In ''VideoGame/DigitalDevilSaga 2'', every character except [[spoiler:Fred]] ends up dead, only to reunite in the afterlife in a last-ditch effort to save the world. These characters include [[spoiler:Jinana and Lupa]] from the first game. However, [[spoiler:Harley, Bat, Mick, Varin/Beck, and Meganada]] also show up, but as bosses. And even after all that, [[spoiler:Fred]] shows up one last time in the epilogue. By the end, the only character to not get closure is [[spoiler:Tribhvana: Earth]], who is implied by his last appearance to live bearing his karma.
