* Parodied in "WesternAnimation/TheGrimAdventuresOfBillyAndMany" MadeToTVMovie "Wrath of the Spider Queen". The titular villain has invaded the Endsville school with the sole purpose to steal Grim's position as the Grim Reaper. She has her Dark Elf vassals send "messages from the Spider Queen" through this trope. First with an arrow to the chest revealing herself as Velma Green, which doesn't ring any bells. A lance then skewers with with another note: "From junior high school, stupid." Grim still dismisses the connection until an ''ax'' lands at the back of his skull, this time with a familiar school photo of Velma.
