We nowadays essentially have two camps, those who adhere to this {{trope}} and those that continue to linger in the AnimationAgeGhetto and consequently [[WhatDoYouMeanItsNotForKids occasionally mistakenly rent their children]] ''{{Urotsukidouji}}'' or ''NinjaScroll'' [[hottip:*: The latter actually happened and was retold comically by a [[http://www.actsofgord.com/Chronicles/chapter12.php shop owner]]]] (or, as the kid in the pic over at the [[WhatDoYouMeanItsNotForKids that page]] already knows, ''LaBlueGirl''). Both camps are of course wrong. {{Anime}} fans, it seems, [[FailureIsTheOnlyOption cannot win]]. They are all either childish or perverts. Or both. There are those anime fans who revel in being called perverts, however, since that means the entire genre is out of the AnimationAgeGhetto (see also: WhatDoYouMeanItsForKids).

Can be found on popular gathering places of [[InternetToughGuy Internet Tough Guys]] or (to a lesser extend) elite [[{{Troll}} trolls]], where might have the same detestation for anything from Japan. This also happens a lot in RealLife (even in Japan) as a result of the mentioned above PublicMediumIgnorance.
