In RealLife, a girl can conceive as soon as she has her first menstrual cycle, which commonly occurs (on average) at around 11 or 12 years old these days (although carrying a child to term before physical maturity is risky and has a higher chance of death in childbirth; Henry VII's mother was thirteen when she gave birth to him and couldn't get pregnant again because of the damage to her reproductive organs) and in rare cases this can occur at an even younger age, such as ''five years old''.[[note]]Lina Medina, the notorious example referenced, had a case of extreme precocious puberty i.e. puberty at an absurdly young age, and reportedly had already gotten her period when she was an infant. She is the youngest mother ever in recorded history, though she was too young to remember that the baby was hers, and her parents raised him as her brother. While the girl's father swore he had absolutely nothing to do with her impregnation, and the evidence (or lack thereof) eventually cleared him of all rape and incest charges, there's still the FridgeHorror question of who the father ''was''. The ''Literature/GuinnessWorldRecords'' dropped the "Youngest Ever Mother" category held by Medina out of exactly these ethical considerations; there was also the fear that somebody somewhere was going to try to '''beat''' this record. ''Wiki/{{Wikipedia}}'' has a lengthy list of [[https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_youngest_birth_mothers young mothers,]] nearly all of which have very heart-breaking backstories.[[/note]]

* In the third episode of ''Series/GirlMeetsWorld'', Topanga tells a small child that she's 30. Topanga and Cory have a daughter, Riley, in 7th grade. If Riley is normal age for her grade (12-13), Topanga had her when she was 17-18. Given that Series/BoyMeetsWorld goes through Topanga's second year of college and she had no children up until that time, clearly someone didn't do the math.
** That or she was simply lying about her age.

* According to ''Series/ThatsSoRaven'', Chelsea was born in 1989. That makes her 28 at the start of ''Series/RavensHome''. She has a 4th grade son and her similarly aged friend Raven has ''6th grade'' twins. Either ''Raven's Home'' takes place TwentyMinutesIntoTheFuture, WritersCannotDoMath, or the two had kids ''really'' young.

*** They were in the middle of a way of life altering war so it's not unlikely that they got married, and Harry came along, at a young age because they never knew if either would be killed before they got round to it. It happened a lot during the First and Second World Wars.

*** They were in the middle of a way of life altering war so it's not unlikely that they got married, and Harry came along, at a young age because they never knew if either would be killed before they got round to it. It happened a lot during the First and Second World Wars.Wars, and Mrs Weasley alludes to it as something that happened a lot during the First Wizarding War when fretting about how Bill and Fleur (the former in his twenties, the latter 21/22 at the very most) are getting married so quickly. Of course this by implication includes her and Mr Weasley, as her children point out.

Added DiffLines:

* ''Fanfic/ChildOfTheStorm'' has the canonical Harry Potter case of Lily and James Potter, with the author calculating that Lily would have [[TeenPregnancy got pregnant at 19 and a half.]] Of course, the case is a touch odder here, since James was Thor in mortal form (and entirely unaware of it), meaning that he was technically 1500 when Harry was conceived.
** [[spoiler: Minerva McGonagall]] was no more than 20 when she got pregnant with Clint's mother, by [[spoiler: Bucky Barnes.]]

* Carol's mother in ''Manga/TomoChanWaOnnanoko'' got pregnant when she was 13 since she was ridiculously over-developed for her age. Her father, who sincerely thought that she was older than him and ''legal'', has a HeroicBSOD over this.

* Carol's mother in ''Manga/TomoChanWaOnnanoko'' got pregnant when gives us Carol's mother Ferris. An extra chapter shows Carol's father Eddie proposing to Ferris, who says she can't get married because she's 13; Eddie freaks out because he thought she was 13 since ''older'' than him due to her working as a waitress[[note]]At a restaurant owned by her family, so technically she was just helping out rather than being an employee[[/note]] and being [[BuxomIsBetter ridiculously over-developed overdeveloped for her age. Her father, who sincerely thought that age]]. And then after Ferris accepted the proposal, she was older than him and ''legal'', has mentioned "the little one inside me", triggering a HeroicBSOD over this.in poor Eddie.
