Added DiffLines:

* Kimihito from Manga/DailyLifeWithMonsterGirl is regularly injured by his super strong roommates, and on his feet by the next panel. Lampshaded when hospital doctors are shocked they can't find a thing wrong with him despite the daily abuse. Subverted when

* Manga/CityHunter: All the recurring characters are this. Apart Ryo's Amusing Injuries when Kaori hammers him, Umibozu barely felt being shot twice with a .38 caliber pistol, and Ryo, Kaori and Mick survived the explosion of the building they were in.

* Taken to insane levels in Manga/DragonBall. Where even characters like Yajirobe and Mr. Satan, that don't know how to throw a ki-blast, survive things that should turn most tanks into dust.

** Luffy, who was gored with a hook, thrown into a pit of quicksand and buried there for hours, but was still able to fight Sir Crocodile the next day. Only to have all the water in his body absorbed -- at least momentarily. Then he was poisoned.

Only to have all the water in his body absorbed -- at least momentarily. Then he was poisoned.poisoned and still managed to beat Crocodile, though it should be noted that the poison would have explicitly killed him had future-crewmate Robin not provided the antidote afterwards.

** Shizuo Heiwajima. The man gets stabbed in both legs and his hand and remarks "Doesn't even hurt." He didn't even bother to take out the pens he was stabbed with, figuring they'll just cause a bloody mess. Later, he is shot in the leg and gut and thinks he slipped in the rain until he sees the blood. Afterwards he simply walks to Shinra's apartment, and is still unfazed by his normally life-threatening wounds. Shizuo's apparent superhuman endurance is acknowledged in canon: Shinra hates treating Shizuo, because he never leaves an operation without destroying at least one of his best scalpels in the process. Shizuo's body isn't Made of Iron: it's harder than it. That said, Shizuo came about his body the hard way. As Episode 7 elaborates, his body doesn't know its limits, so he's been breaking his bones and tearing his muscles in overexertion all throughout his childhood and adolescence, creating a unique case of "What doesn't kill you makes you stronger."

That same Shinra who hates operating on him was utterly fascinated with him when they were growing up.

** Mention must also be given to Izaya Orihara who is the regular target of Shizuo's inhuman rage. In their first on-screen confrontation, Shizuo nails Izaya by chucking and hitting him in the head with a vending machine so hard Izaya is thrown several feet. The snazzily-dressed KnifeNut just gets up like nothing happened.

Shizuo gets some serious blows on him, and while he keeps fighting for a while, Izaya eventually has to be carried off while Shizuo is distracted. If sequel manga are to be believed, he suffered multiple broken bones and is currently confined to a wheelchair; the fight finally put the fear of Shizuo into him.]]
