** ItGetsBetter. [[invoked]] Chugga thought he lost 98 blue Pikmin due to all but 1 not showing up. He didn't notice the one. So while he's yelling [[BigNo NO NO]], a blue Pikmin walks to the onion.

** In Part 10 of ''Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga'', the first Pestnut he cracks open [[spoiler: was a [[MetalSlime Gold Beanie]], which he managed to defeat. [[ItGetsBetter He eventually comes across two more in that episode, and none of them ran]].]]

* AdaptedOut: In as much as a Let's Play could be considered an adaptation - while his ''Franchise/{{Pokemon}}'' [=LPs=] have detailed bios and commentary on every Pokémon in the game by Chugga, [[SecretCharacter Mythical Pokémon]] (which can only be obtained via real life events) are almost never mentioned. At best, he'll drop a sly reference to them in places where one would encounter them ("Must be pretty dark in there," in regards to the locked Harbor Inn which leads to Darkrai), before promptly moving on and never mentioning them. This is justified, however, [[LostForever as they're now completely unavailable in said games without cheating]]. Thus far, the only Mythical Pokémon to get a bio is Manaphy in ''Platinum'', purely because seeing it (unlike with most Mythicals) is mandatory for OneHundredPercentCompletion. However, this may be fully averted for ''Platinum'' in time, as he gives Registeel a bio despite only being available in ''Platinum'' with an event Regigigas he doesn't have.

* VocalEvolution: His voice is noticeably lower and more relaxed in his early videos. Nowadays, it's much higher and more enthusiastic. He lampshaded this on Facebook.
-->'''Chuggaaconroy (via Facebook)''': It's been pointed out to me that my voice somehow got higher-pitched with time and after looking back at old videos, I can't disagree with that. I really will never hit puberty!

** In ''Pokémon XD: Gale of Darkness'', the trainers use not very effective moves against Chugga's Aron ''constantly'', in a lot of circumstances when the other Pokémon that's out would take super effective damage from it. And because of Aron's absurdly high physical defense, they always wind up only doing one or two damage a hit. He gets GenreSavvy about this later, teaching Aron Protect, knowing that special attacker Pokémon will go for it (even though Protect gets move priority) due to its subpar special defense.

** Also [[DiscussedTrope talked about]] and played with in his ''Xenoblade Chronicles '' LP in which he refers to a 'Heart-To-Heart' as a "Blood-pumping organ meets another blood-pumping organ!", specifically evoking this trope, then lamenting how there would probably be people online who really would think the term would make it sound more 'extreme'.

** In ''Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga'', he says that he has to "hand" it to the developers on the design of the Oucher Glass just after one uses an attack where it makes a hand rise out of the sand.

** Quite a few in the Lost Tower in [[VideoGame/PokemonDiamondAndPearl Pokemon Platinum]] making several "insensitive" puns without meaning to.

** Quite a few in the Lost Tower in [[VideoGame/PokemonDiamondAndPearl Pokemon Platinum]] making several "insensitive" puns without meaning to. When he encounters a young couple, he says that whoever decided to go on a date there is a "deadbeat". Later he says that he should be able to use an Escape Rope by tying it to a tombstone and rappelling out the window, and once he realizes how distasteful this is, he says he should cut away [[DiggingYourselfDeeper "before I dig myself a hole."]]
