* ''WesternAnimation/TheSecretOfNIMH2TimmyToTheRescue'' has Timmy, who's constant arrogance and tendency to act before he thinks often puts himself and worse yet his friends in danger all throughout the movie.
** Martin to an extent, for having run away from home out of jealousy of Timmy even when NIMH was still about searching for the rats.
** Everybody in Thorn Valley, for having been so eager to fashion Timmy into a hero because of Nicodemus' warning of worse things yet to come from NIMH; ironically, their actions in reverence to this prophecy may have inadvertently put their home at even greater risk than it otherwise would've been; see SelfFulfillingProphecy on the film's page.

* {{Disney/Aladdin}} is taken in by a suspicious creepy old man who shows up in his jail cell. Despite being pretty savvy and street-smart up to and after this point, he opts to accompany this shady character to The Middle of Nowhere, The Desert, Middle East rather than thank him politely for the prison break and then promptly GTFO as soon as he's out of his cell.

** Let's not even get in to her not asking that goddamn bird to fly her home but instead trying to ''walk it.''

* {{Disney/Aladdin}} is taken in by a suspicious creepy old man who shows up in his jail cell, despite being pretty savvy and street-smart up to and after this point, just because he has to in order to facilitate the plot/genie.
** Given how harsh the law seems to be in Agrabah, I.E. getting your hand cut off for stealing, the penalty for kidnapping the princess is almost certainly death. Aladdin was going with the option that looked less likely to get him killed.

* In ''Film/RaceForYourLifeCharlieBrown'', it's Peppermint Patty's diplomatic voting. For one thing, it's massively one-sided: it only deals with the girls and their decisions end up screwing over the boys (including ''kicking out the boys out of the house that '''they found''' and leaving them in the snow''). Second of all, the things they vote for is things that would require ''simple common sense''. Of course, it's Peppermint Patty -- common sense and that girl never got along.

* Pretty much every character in ''WesternAnimation/MyLittlePonyEquestriaGirls'' picks up the IdiotBall at some point. To wit:
** Sunset shimmer steals the element of magic and ''stands right in front of Twilight Sparkle for a good minute or so'', giving her a clear view of who stole it.
** Rainbow Dash [[ForgotAboutHisPowers forgot how to fly faster than everypony, and Twilight forgot how to do her magic]] when Sunset Shimmer was trying to escape.
** Despite that Twilight has evidence of a talking dog and a portal in the school yard, and that Spike even ''suggests'' that she try it, Twilight doesn't think to try and explain that to get the crown back.
** Despite that Sunset Shimmer clearly stole the crown before (Without replacing it with a dummy crown) she ''never tries it again''.
** Despite having access to cell phones ''and'' being legally required to be within an area that will allow face-to-face contact, The Humane 5 never thinks to try and confront each other about the text messages, and no explanation is given as to they somehow fell for them.
** Vice Principal Luna manages to fall for flat out cut-and-paste jobs as proof Twilight was guilty and trashed the gym.
*** Bonus points for Snips and Snails throwing the original pictures in the trash can ''right outside Luna's office''. To be fair, this is Snips and Snails we are talking about.
** Spike somehow [[ForgotAboutHisPowers forgets how to open the school doors despite clearly opening them with no effort earlier in the film.]]
** Twilight doesn't see Snips and Snails behind ''glass doors''.
** Twilight Sparkle tells Sunset Shimmer that Equestria will be safe without the element of Magic.
** Sunset Shimmer has Snips and Snails literally ''let Spike go'' when they ''clearly have him'' in their grasp. They could have used him as leverage for bargaining, but nope.

* In ''RiseOfTheGuardians,'' Jack falls for Pitch's BatmanGambit, and searches through Pitch's lair, [[ItMakesSenseInContext looking for his teeth.]] When he finds the teeth, and returns to the other Guardians, the others immediately come to the (admittedly reasonable) conclusion that Jack is in league with Pitch. Clearly, Jack found the teeth ''and'' the idiot ball in the lair, because at no point does Jack attempt to explain, and the whole thing could have been avoided with one sentence. "I found where pitch is keeping [[spoiler: the tooth fairies.]]"

* In ''RugratsGoWild'', Spike seems to be pretty clever for a dog. He spends a musical number dodging and humiliating a huge leopard... but then he stupidly mentions that there's a group of lost, helpless infants somewhere on the island, and the leopard immediately goes looking for them to eat them.
