** Sonya and Jax - definitely. Jax is pretty much the reason Sonya averts IWorkAlone, since Jax is there to talk her out of that stupid idea. And Jax is all too happy [[IfYouDoAnythingToHurtHer to kick her ex-husband's ass on general principle.]] It's to the point where their ''daughters'' [[SpinOffspring Cassie and Jaqui]] repeat the pattern in VideoGame/MortalKombatX.

* English Language StarCraft II commentators Tasteless and Artosis often act like this. They have a Portmanteau Couple Name, Tastosis, and they refer to themselves as the "Casting Archon" Archons being a Unit from StarCraft that is made of two other units that literally mold together. Tasteless even calls Artosis his "Hetero-Nerd-Life-partner"

*** A female/female example, with [[TomboyAndgirlyGirl Sumia and Cordelia]]. Their friendship is so strong that, in a DLC chapter, Cordelia almost gets into a CatFight with Maribelle over which girl has the best female friend. Not to mention, their ''possible'' [[LoveTriangle shared feelings]] for Prince Chrom ''never ever'' are an issue between them - Chrom's not even ''mentioned'' in their supports, which are all about their own bonds.

* Marisa and Reimu from the {{Touhou}} Project. The spinoff manga in particular tend to show Marisa spending more time at Reimu's shrine than at her own house. Those who know the characters primarily through FanWorks might be surprised at how ''little'' LesYay there actually is between the two of them.

* Touka and Karura after the final boss fight in {{Utawarerumono}}. Unfortunately for any yuri fanboys out there, they're confirmed to still be hetero, as their mutual berserk button is disrespecting their relationship with Hakuoro.

** Furthermore, it's actually ''advised'' that this is the best combination for an Uber pairing due to the Heavy's large amount of health.

** [[https://youtu.be/36lSzUMBJnc This video]] also further confirm this since clearly, the two get along and the way they prepare for Übercharge show that they have some sort teamwork dynamic.

* Noctis, Ignis, Gladio, and Prompto are a four-way version of this in ''VideoGame/FinalFantasyXV'', where they all travel together almost throughout the entire game.

** Just as Marth and Kris (aka the male Avatar) form such a pairing in the game before ''Awakening'', Chrom and Robin (a male Avatar from ''Awakening'') are one of the prime examples of this. They even refer to each other as 'two halves of a whole'.
*** Chrom is also this with Frederick, though this relationship is largely due to Chrom being Ylissian royalty and Frederick being head of the Ylissian knights. Frederick appears to lean towards HoYay more than Chrom suspects, going so far as to immortalize Chrom in an Uncle Sam "I want you"-style poster - Chrom is stark naked in said depiction, or at least in the English version. The Japanese version merely shows a close-up of his face.
** Some of the other Lords have formed friendships like this with non-Avatar characters. [[VideoGame/FireEmblemJugdral Sigurd and Quan]], [[VideoGame/FireEmblemElibe Eliwood and Hector, Roy and Wolt]], [[VideoGame/FireEmblemTellius Ike and Ranulf or Soren]]... Though Ike's heterosexuality may be debatable. Especially considering that Elincia flirts with him relentlessly, and he ignores her along with every other woman who shows possible interest, and in between games she moves on both [[TheWomanWearingTheQueenlyMask handling Crimea as best as she can]] and, if the player wishes so, possibly reciprocating Geoffrey's BodyguardCrush on her. He could be utterly disinterested in romance of any sort [[{{Asexuality}} from either sex]], but arguments still persist over whether Ike's [[RelationshipValues paired endings]] are this trope or all [[GayOption Gay Options]]. It might be of interest that neither Ranulf nor Soren show any romantic interest in women either.
