* In ''Children of Earth'': Jack arrives back at the Hub, Ianto works out that he's been killed again while he was gone... and hugs him, for no reason other than that. Shame [[spoiler: that the Hub's about to be blown to smithereens]].

Added DiffLines:

* The team's reunion in "End of Days". Tosh runs headlong into Jack's arms, Ianto's adorably awkward attempt at a handshake before burying his head in Jack's shoulder and showing no qualms about Jack kissing him in front of the team, and Owen just burying his head in Jack's chest.

Added DiffLines:

** From the same episode, Jack's absolute refusal to believe [[spoiler: Ianto when he confesses to killing women]]. Just hugs him and doesn't stop until he works out what really happened.

** Also the whole situation that led up to that scene: [[spoiler: Jack was willing to risk the world and his soul just for the chance to see Ianto again!]]

For a series which regularly makes a point of demonstrating the cynical end of the [[SlidingScaleofIdealismVersusCynicism scale]], ''Torchwood'' comes with a fair few moments of heartwarming.\\

* YMMV, but there's also Eugene coming back for just long enough to save Gwen and her absolute delight that he's there, just before her dismay that he's still going to die.

** It seems [[YourMileageMayVary entirely possible]] that this was intended to come across as Owen getting his comeuppance for always being a [[JerkWithAHeartOfGold jerk]] to Tosh when she obviously had a crush on him, by making him the shy, retiring one and Tosh the confident but jerkass-y one (though her JerkAss behaviour seemed a bit less deliberate than Owen's). Unfortunately this just didn't work because I found it impossible to imagine Nerdy!Owen and Real!Owen as the same people and couldn't apply the latters faults to the former. The poor guy was just too adorable!

* In the audio play [[TorchwoodTheLostFiles ''The House of the Dead'']], right as [[spoiler:Ianto is about to permanently seal the rift]], Jack finally says it.
-->'''Jack''': Ianto Jones, I love you.
** Also, the fact that [[spoiler:of all the people he's lost and could have seen at The House of the Dead that night, Jack went there specifically looking for Ianto]].
