* [=SpongeBob=] and Patrick's unbridled, barely suppressed glee when they get to meet Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy for the first time, in the episode that introduced the characters.

** From the same episode, Mermaid Man saying with complete sincerity, "For a pain in the neck, he's a pretty nice kid!" It's telling that for however annoying [=SpongeBob=] can be, Mermaid Man (nor even Barnacle Boy) doesn't seem to have any actual hostility toward the little sponge, like Squidward and Mrs. Puff.

* In the Halloween episode Scaredy Pants, Patrick was the only one who didn’t purposely scare [=SpongeBob=]. He even apologizes, which is something he probably wouldn't do in seasons 6-8. He even decided to help [=SpongeBob=] get back at the people who scared him.

** At the end of the episode, where [=SpongeBob=] gives Squidward a handmade wooden clarinet.
** "Thank you, Santa...for bringing Christmas to Bikini Bottom!" "I didn't bring Christmas to Bikini Bottom, [=SpongeBob=]. ''You'' did." Keep in mind that this is ''[[{{Jerkass}} Squid]][[DeadpanSnarker ward]]'' saying this.

'''[=SpongeBob=]:''' Right! So if we all could just pretend it's Squidward who's a fireman or some guy in a ambulance, then I'm sure we can all pull together and discover what it truly means... ''to be in a marching band.''

** A comparatively less impressive moment, but pay attention to the group shot of everyone arguing just before the big fight. Patrick's defending his friend by fighting with the lady who just senselessly called [=SpongeBob=] a "talking cheese" after he tried to calm the tensions, (itself sweet of the sponge to have tried to stop the fight) even looking towards her when she calls his best friend as such.
** [=SpongeBob=]'s "eager" face (and dance). It looks cute in its own right, and it's even more heartwarming to look at once you consider what happens afterward. He was excited because he ''knew'' very well that they were going to make Squidward proud.

* Squidward is very caring for [=SpongeBob=] in "Graveyard Shift," and when he thinks he's going to die, he says he's always been OK with him. [[SugarWiki/FunnyMoments Then SpongeBob goes off topic]].

* Even though Patrick was acting dumber than usual in "Tunnel of Glove", once Perch Perkins tells Patrick to his face Spongebob is in danger, he drops everything to try to save him. While he only make things worse, it's a nice departure from his post-{{Flanderization}} self that was both dumber than ever and uncaring towards Spongebob.

** The genuine concern in Sandy's voice when [=SpongeBob=] first calls her to tell her he needs her to take him to the doctor.

** Even though she’s the ''last'' person he wants to see at the moment, the scene where Sandy hugs [=SpongeBob=] in joy and relief after he’s “found” is genuinely sweet.

Plankton is genuinely thankful for [=SpongeBob=]'s actions and even thanks him.]]

* In the [=iOS=]/Android game for ''Sponge Out of Water'', if you get a Game Over [=SpongeBob=] has many different lines that he'll say in no particular order. It's a sweet moment, even if it's somewhat downplayed by [[KarmaHoudini Squidward and the Krusty Krab customers]] laughing at them through the window at the end.

** Sandy falling asleep in the end, followed by a relieved [=SpongeBob=] sleep with her. It's cute.

* Sandy is hired by Mr Krabs to add her barbecued nuts to the Krusty Krab menu. [=SpongeBob=] excitedly sings “Someone’s in the Kitchen with Sandy”, replacing “someone” with himself. Not only is this an adorable way to welcome Sandy to the job, it almost feels like an apology for the episode of the same name where Sandy went through Hell.
