One day, the teacher comes in with a bruise from falling down some stairs (they admit afterward to just being clumsy), tells this to the students' faces... and one of the toughest boys in class, who's been in enough legal trouble that he's got a tracking bracelet on his ankle, asks "Uh... Ms. [My Name], are you sure that's what happened? Or do you have a boyfriend the guys and I need to talk to?" Just goes to show, even certain law-breakers can be concerned about someone they think is being abused.

An employee at a 24-hour supermarket encounters a customer putting misplaced items back on the correct shelf, explaining that she's had a bad day and doing so calms her. When they tell the manager about it, he remarks that it must be the "shelving fairy" who has been leaving whole sections in perfect order, and jokingly suggests offering her a job if she shows up again. When she does so the following week, the employee chats to her and learns that she is, in fact, looking for work, but hasn't been able to find any due to being "weird" (she's on the autism spectrum and has difficulty relating to people). The employee tells the manager, who promptly offers her a job, for real, and is able to accommodate her needs (working nights and Tuesdays off to play with her cats). She quickly passes through the training and even has her pay backdated to when they started noticing her efforts. The cherry on the cake comes a month later:

* A meta example for the commenters: During the 2020 COVID-19 pandemic, longtime commenter and resident PungeonMaster "Stephen" went uncharacteristically silent, prompting several of his fellow commenters to worry that he was sick or worse. When he resurfaced, he explained that he only had internet access at work and his office had closed because of the crisis, but a friendly neighbor was helping him so he could be online at home. The number of upvotes and welcoming comments (not just on NAR but on posts on the sister sites as well, since Stephen leaves puns everywhere) showed just how much the regulars come to recognize and even care about each other. Considering the basic nature of the site, the fact that this happens is equal parts heartwarming and ''awesome''.

* Meta example: [[https://notalwaysright.com/a-christmas-affair-to-remember/184973/ The submitter in this story]] felt it was his fault that he ruined his family for calling out on his bigoted grandmother for all the homophobic things she said about him and being a hypocrite. Many commenters came to the submitter's side and told him he shouldn't blame himself for what happened to his family when it was obvious his grandmother is to blame. They also praised his mother for not only accepting his sexuality but being a MamaBear and threatening the homophobic grandmother and a cousin who sided with the grandmother over the insults she made on her son.
