* Season 8 ended with Phil's con-man brother Will swindling Dan out of over 10 million dollars, money that was to go towards helping the homeless and constructing a free clinic, among many other altruistic endeavors, and left a note mocking Dan for being a sucker, who was left to take the rap for embezzlement when he vanished and people assumed the two were working together all along. The first two episodes of Season 9, Will ultimately came back, admitting that Dan's own HeelFaceTurn had caused his own, he returned all the money with an extra half a million he made investing it, and with his return Dan was cleared of all charges, he dropped the charges on Will in thanks, and everyone's faith in Dan and human goodness was restored.
