Dewicking Not So Different as it is now a disambig.

** They also have a moment of NotSoDifferent, when Plutonian demands to know where his ex-girlfriend (and former partner to Max Damage) Alana Patel is, only for Max to reveal he cut her off after she revealed his weakness to an enemy and got him tortured. Plutonian is taken aback and tells Max she did the same thing to him when she outed his secret identity. This oddly gives the two enough in common for Max to open up about his gratitude.

* In the final issue Max realises that he needs to be more open to the public if he wants to be a hero so after the radiation has been taken care of, he tells everyone about the time he and Plutonian fought off in a cage that left Plutonian powerless but even then as Max tells them with a smile that the next thing he remembers is in a hospital which everyone laughs it off. Max reconciles with Jailbait though he tells her she's going have to wait until she's at the legal age of 18 to start things again between them.

* Issue 16: Even in the face of what looks like an utterly hopeless situation, Qubit still tries to do some good by teleporting the raindrops from a storm he and Kaidan are in to somewhere else that needs water. And then he helps her figure out the true extent of her abilities by telling her to recall happy memories of their deceased teammates, which summons their spirits. The look of happy surprise on her face, as well as the smiles on the faces of the Paradigm members' spirits, is a sweetly uplifting moment.
* When the Eleos are released from their containment, the ensuing explosion kills the guard watching them. When they realize this, they actually cry and mourn for him, construct a headstone and engrave his name in it before setting out to deal with their wayward "son".
* In a way, the Plutonian meeting his "birth parents" and finally getting some answers to his origins and true nature is both this played straight and deconstructed. He finally feels at peace, has found where he feels he truly belongs... but the Eleos that created him still intend to leave him in the middle of a dead universe, frozen and alone. Even though the Eleos accept that Plutonian feels remorse for what he's done, he cannot be allowed to roam free.
-->Eleos: We are pleased that we were able to grant you peace. And we have no doubt that you now regret many of the actions that have led you to this point. But epiphany is not the same as absolution. We too, are sorry. But your punishment stands. Goodbye, child.

* In Incorruptible #23, during their brawl Plutonian demands to know why Max isn't afraid of him. Max tells him that it's because Tony's FaceHeelTurn convinced him to try to become a better person... and he wants to thank Tony. This honest gratitude is one of the reasons Plutonian agrees to leave Coalville alone. This neatly ties into both character's stories (Plutonian's overriding need for love and gratitude, Max's desire to be normal) as well as their shared backstories (Max being a symbol for Plutonian of his less-than-perfect secrets and one of the people that hates him above all else). For Plutonian, Max's redemption certainly seems like the biggest thing an Ace could do and for someone looking for love/gratitude, having the person that hates you and whom you hate equally as strong thank you is also perhaps one of the biggest things that can happen.
