** 1. Sadly, it's TruthInTelevision. As someone who studied animals in senior high school it irritates the hell out of me when people have pet birds and cats coexist in the same household. Not only is the bird at risk of getting killed by the cat, but it causes it tremendous stress and is not good for its mental health to be near a predator. It doesn't matter if the cat is "the sweetest thing on Earth" it will NOT override its predatory nature and at any time it can snap. This family just reflects that choice. 2.
