*What the actual, correct timeline for when each quest and major lore event of the latter "5th age", the period of the game from day 1 the game existed to be played canonically, and the entire "6th age", which the player directly caused to start. For example, the player's involvement in The World Wakes directly causes the shift between the 5th and 6th age; however, the Order of Ascension update reveals former followers of Guthix have been experimenting on GENERATIONS of humans to achieve their goal, a goal only picked up after the start of the 6th age. This throws the character's relative canonical age into question.

* Why, oh why, has the Elemental Workshop series not been retooled as Signature Hero Linza's spotlight quests? Exploring an abandoned forge and rediscovering a forgotten metal and the methods of working it seems like it would be a perfect fit for her "ultimate blacksmith/artisan" role, and that workshop is so full of Runescape's typical Moon Logic puzzles that it could really use a helper NPC for advice anyway.

** Perhaps Elder God status isn't just a level of power, but a level of skill, and he needs to at least be close in order to do that.

* Why are the gnomes and Khazard troops locked in a [[ForeverWar perpetual battle]] over that field south of Ardougne? The gnomes have a serious numerical advantage and could easily pull off a ZergRush, the Khazard troops are backed against the solid wall of West Ardougne and are cut off from their home base/town, the gnomes have superior units with their [[TheCavalry terrorbird cavalry]] and [[MightyGlacier crewed tortoises]] (and even a ballista), and the gnomes have use of a Spirit Tree with which they could just [[ParanoiaFuel teleport into the Khazard units' flank at any time]]. Granted, the Khazard troops have what's left of a small fort and they use melee weapons while the vast majority of the gnomes fight at range, but still, what's stopping the gnomes aside from adherence to HollywoodTactics?

*** True, but it made more sense in the Postbag era, before the advent of [=EoC=], when the gnomes had much lower combat levels and so the armies were more evenly matched as a whole. Unless the PlayerCharacter is the only one who can use the Spirit Trees, the gnomes should be able to essentially use the one just south of the Carnillean house as a [[VideoGame/StarCraft Nydus Canal]] to ship in troops from the tree-village ''and'' their Stronghold to flank-attack the Khazard side with impunity and overwhelm the battlefield. I guess the whole feature is sufficiently minor that Jagex [[ShrugOfGod can't care less anymore]].

** I'm not sure spirit tree teleportation is quite that versatile. But anyways, your question gets {{Lampshaded}} in [[http://services.runescape.com/m=rswiki/en/Postbag_15 Postbag 15]].

* Why does Zaros need to become an Elder God in order to help the Illujanka? He doesn't need to create life from nothing; he just needs to either fix their reproductive cells, or figure out which part of their reproductive system doesn't work right. Zaros says he learned much of science, so shouldn't he know this? Or has he just not figured out some of the particulars of cellular biology? ** Of course, Zaros has a much more pressing reason to seek out Elder Godhood ''now''.
