* Shouldn't Telemain have passed out or something after teleporting everyone back to the Enchanted Forest in ''Calling''? He was already drained enough that he didn't have the energy to spare for melting Antorell, and even under normal circumstances it should have taken him at ''least'' two spells. But he got them all the way back to the forest all at once, and he seemed completely unaffected by it. Not only was he not tired, he immediately did another (albeit short-distance) teleportation spell and then helped Morwen remove the outermost layer of Killer's enchantment.

*** Contending with Willin's [[LongList Long Lists]] probably also contributes, though it could also have to do with him having more patients for that sort of thing than Cimorene does. After all, she ran away from it, he didn't (or couldn't) and therefore had to learn to put up with and decipher it.

** Morwen and Telemain remain in the Enchanted Forest during those years as well, so presumably they took care of some minor or wizard-related issues

**It's mentioned a couple of times in Searching that Mendanbar is doing way more than he ought to doing and that he should be getting help. Cimorene in particular mentions the system she set up in place after Kazul became King of the Dragons, making it so Kazul doesn't have to deal with day-to-day running of things and the little issues that pop up, allowing her to focus instead on the larger scope, and genuine large problems and emergencies. Presumably after becoming Queen of the Enchanted Forest Cimorene set up something similar there, meaning that a lot of the problems Mendenbar was having to deal with on a daily basis are now being delegated out to people who are qualified to do so and continued to after Mendenbar's disappearance. Outside countries probably wouldn't put up too much of a fuss, since they seem to be used to this sort of thing in that universe and taking advantage of the King's absence while under a curse probably just isn't the done thing. And anyone who might be tempted to do it anyway would probably be put off when they heard that the King of Dragons has decided to take up residence on the front lawn of the Enchanted Forest's castle. As for larger internal problems... perhaps Kazul functioned as sort of an Acting Regent?

** For the record, it is explicitly stated in the text that Mendanbar can take of handful of wizards on his own, but would need the sword to deal with more than that.

I've been wondering how the Enchanted Forest functioned between the events of the last two books? Mendanbar was out of the picture, Cimorene was outside of the forest, and Daystar was too young. In the second book, Mendanbar is swamped with work dealing with the inhabitants of the Forest, but apparently all of that dried up? (Besides the Darkmorning Elves being ornery again?)
