* If one really thinks about it, the series use of the UnreliableNarrator makes a whole lot of sense when looked at from the narrative as a whole. Namely that it has paradoxes like SchrodingersButterfly and UsefulNotes/SchrodingersCat as it's central recurring theme. Remember that those paradoxes only remain as long as they aren't directly observed, and the UnreliableNarrator ties directly into that. If we where ever to know the full truth, then we would observe a state of the paradox and give it form, thus causing it to break down and no longer be a paradox.

* I always thought that the songs present in PoFV sounded a bit... empty, for lack of a better expression, as if channels were missing from them. Then I actually played the game and realised this might be intentional. At any given moment, the sound effects will make twice the amount of noise made in one BulletHell. If the music had been as elaborate as it tends to be in the other games, it would all probably sound like a cluttered mess. While I still prefer certain covers, it now makes sense why ZUN would write them like he did.

** Same goes for Mai. Her personality and the title of her theme music may be a reference to the ninth circle of Hell, which represents treacherous sin with the frozen river named Cocytus, where the biblical traitor Judas Iscariot is being tortured for all eternity.

* Yukari has a habit of bringing people she likes into Gensoukyou. And if they don't manage to find the only human village before they are discovered, they will be eaten. No exceptions.

* This one is not canon, but goes for Sengoku Gensoukyou (a fangame which does not have a TVTropes entry... yet). Every available species has Red Shirts with minor variations of the same portraits and names. Those names range from mundane to Narmfully bizarre (Rokusuke Boozer - yes, Boozer is his last name) to... Child Ghost. Said ghost has such low stats, they will likely hurt themselves more than the opponent from a melee attack. There is nothing keeping you from keeping this child in your prison forever, either. (On a semi-related note, your prisoners are always at 1 HP and need to be healed at the start of the turn after you recruit them, which makes you wonder what the conditions in that prison are like...)

* Why do the Lunarian and moon rabbit bosses of Legacy of Lunatic Kingdom know how to use Spell Cards? It's very likely that Yorihime introduced the concept to the Lunarians at large following the events of Silent Sinner in Blue, and the "Eagle Ravi" Earth Recon Unit was likely watching over Gensokyo for a while as they made preparations.
* Why is Koishi so friendly in demeanor despite closing her third eye and being emotionless? Because of her condition Koishi acts upon her desires alone, and prior to closing her third eye she wanted to make friends, so she acts fairly friendly despite most of the time feeling nothing behind it.

** Adding to that, her eyes become red when she's manipulate time isn't random or cool point, it's probably the Doppler effect happening due to the space between her eyes and the opponent's changed, thus change the wavelength of the light.(which still make it super cool though)

* In Legacy of Lunatic Kingdom, Sagume notes that Marisa is a human... which is fine and all, except Sagume's power is that the opposite of whatever she says comes true. Is Marisa going to turn into a youkai because of this?

** They'll be killed by Reimu (or Yukari), of course. There's a reason no one dare to disrespect her.(one of them is Fantasy Heaven).

** Reimu is definitely human, and thus could not have been around for even a quarter of Gensokyo's history. If Reimu were taken out, in all likelihood Yukari would gap some other girl in and have them take over. The real question is what would happen if Yukari died...
*** I think that those of the Hakurei bloodline inherit the BarrierMaiden title and since Reimu still does'nt have any children then the bloodline would end with her and spell the doom for Gensokyou.
*** I guess that if Reimu takes a while to have kids (she's still at her 15-20 years), like, at her early thirties, Yukari probably will have to 'remind' Reimu (a variation of MyBelovedSmother IWantGrandkids wanting grandkids, justified) and forcing Reimu to find a (male) love interest (or just adopt a baby, but the first plot has more potential to be funny), to continue the Hakurei lineage or else Yukari will her drop at the nightmare dimension of WebAnimation/DiamondInTheRoughTouhou (not as a DisproportionateRetribution but as an "incentive"Notice the quotation marks).
*** It's more likely that she'd just do something about the boundary between male and female to Reimu, Marisa, or herself (or anyone else in Gensokyo, for that matter) for a night...
** even worse is the fact that reimu could easily die from more mundane causes, yukari could probably cure all diseases but reimu could still die from something as simple as a heavy object hitting her head or her shrine collapsing while she’s sleeping
** This might not be as horrible as it seems. Even if the entire Hakurei line is wiped out, and Gensokyo along with it, it's implied or outright stated (I can't remember which) that Yukari isn't native to Gensokyo. As such, she would likely survive, and either pull something involving the boundary of past and present or manipulate someone else with time powers into doing it for her. This might require waiting a few centuries, and possibly being indirectly responsible for said individual gaining time control powers, but it's still probable if she would survive the destruction of Gensokyo.
** What are you all talking about? It's confirmed that Reimu has insane luck and matching intuition. Do you remember her homing bullets? That's actually Reimu throwing amulets in whatever direction and getting lucky shots. Her top-class dodging "skill"? It's not skill. As such, her head will never be hit with anything heavy, she will not be at her shrine when it collapses, and that maniac will probably choke on a bite of kebab before even reaching Gensoukyo.

** That leaves plenty of time for the so-called sage to come up with an antidote to her own brew, though. It's not like Eirin didn't think about what would happen if anyone actually drank it, is it?
