** People complained about 2007 Critic being too obnoxious when later prime Critic wasn't like that, and while he is a stand in for obnoxious fans, the year is important. ''2007'' Critic was by Doug's admittance an early version of Critic (hell the first iteration of him was just Chester), before he got positive CharacterDevelopment over the years of 2008-2012.

2009-2012.
* Tamara playing child versions of any Doug character, especially Critic. While obviously done because she's white and short, the brilliance comes in when you remember in Nick-Coms that he said he was a girl for a while.

* During the review of the [[AngryVideoGameNerd AVGN Movie]], the Nostalgia Critic demands an apology from Mc Creery in C minor. A music sheet plays with some orchestral music. There's just a problem: [[CriticalResearchFailure C minor has three flats. The sheet onscreen has four flats.]] This, however, could be why the Critic lampshades it: it's not a sincere apology because it's written on a different scale!

* It was really clever of him to put ''[[Series/SesameStreet Follow That Bird]]'' before ''SavedByTheBell''. In the former, we got some really sweet innocence for the first time and his adorable shout of "YOU ARE CHILDHOOD!". What did we get in the latter? The episode where we start to get hints that his younger life was nightmarish, beginning with a "psycho" StalkerWithACrush.

* In the behind the scenes of ''Film/PhantomOfTheOpera'', Tamara improvises a smile from Hyper at the disturbing older audience being into her, and then when Doug notices, emphatically says Hyper likes ''all'' praise. You gotta wonder how far that goes, as it'd make sense that Hyper wouldn't be able to spot red flags from creepy older men, and it'd explain where her NoMeansYes attitude comes from.

* Considering how important a character Ma-Ti is, the events of CaptainPlanet take place in the ChannelAwesome universe. Now that [[spoiler:Ma-Ti is dead and his ring nowhere in sight]], there's no way to summon Captain Planet to fight off the eco-villains.

Added DiffLines:

* His acting like the kid is {{wangst}}ing in ''Flight Of The Navigator'' about not knowing where his parents are, makes more sense after his own filled with neglect childhood got more attention.

* He got a lot of sadfaces from the LGBTFanbase for the beginning and ending of ''Top 11 Strangest Couples'', playing gay panic for a cheap laugh when before (just for one example) he was perfectly fine being on a bed with Sci-Fi Guy and NoSenseOfPersonalSpace-ing him. ''The Uncanny Valley'' review, which was shot not much later, had him admit that he's sexually repressed now and he's suffering for it, which at least lets the former make more sense (as he's fine if tearful with Kuriboh groping him until he goes too far).

* While the clipless reviews have been getting criticism for breaking one of Neo-Critic's rules ("as long as it's not in theatres"), Doug has been keeping to the "Nostalgia" namesake another way. How? As of December 24th, 2015, every clipless review so far concerns either sequels of movies from decades ago (Jurassic Park, Mad Max, and the upcoming Force Awakens for Star Wars), are movies from the 80s/90s (Hocus Pocus) or modern films where something retro plays a major role (Pixels and 80s video games).

** An alternate interpretation: Who's to say that it wasn't a story created by Santa Christ? He did open and close the episode like he was reading a book, he has [[WebVideo/{{Kickassia}} more than enough reason]] to hate the Critic, it was never mentioned again and nearly everyone was out of character. Their interaction later in ''CareBears II'' also supports this, as Santa Christ seems a lot colder.

* In the beginning of the first ''CareBears'' review, he stops complaining about having to watch it to reassure people that his job is the best in the world. Sweet, except the next thing that came up in the "canon timeline" was ''Kickassia''. He was lying through his teeth, wasn't he?
* I couldn't work my head around why he suddenly wanted power so badly that he would even go for [[TakingYouWithMe murder-suicide]] if someone wanted to take it away from him. Then after a ArchiveBinge, it hit me, why ''wouldn't'' he want power when most of the time he seems to hate his job and his life? Look at the ''Series/FullHouse'' review where he hopes the fans appreciate what he does for them, look at the review of The CareBears Movie where he said how embarrassing it was. There's the amount of times he's quickly broken down crying after being an ass to the others and how he admitted to CR that he acts like a BadBoss because he's ridiculously insecure (he even said that it was mainly because of WebVideo/{{Kickassia}}) and scared of people going into his territory. And then there's obviously how being told he's pathetic ''once'' has a major blow on his self-esteem making him not wanting to do his job anymore. Obviously it isn't an excuse on how he acted that week but still... [[JerkassWoobie poor Critic]].

* Why wouldn't Sage give off mass IHaveYouNowMyPretty vibes (especially with the "I can't play with you if you're dead" bit) in the ''Starchaser'' review? After all, he probably still remembers Critic's promise to give him "everything" way back in ''CareBears II''.

* In his review of Franchise/{{Digimon}} The Movie with WebVideo/JesuOtaku has both her and [[WebVideo/TheAngryJoeShow Angry Joe]] mistaking his JO signal in the sky for a JOE signal. With Joe, it's plausible, but why would JO make the same mistake? Because she knows Critic is dyslexic.

* From ''ThePebbleAndThePenguin'' review, mixing Nyquil and Vicodin is a horrible idea and can kill you. From what we know about Critic's past, it's likely this was intentional at some point.
