* It actually sort of makes sense that Kanako targeted Shinobu along with the other girls - Shinobu may have been kind to Keitaro, but she didn't do anything to stop the other girls abusing him.

* The fact the promise girl was actually may have been hinted at very early: in Keitaro's fever dream the promise girl played the role of , but when the Tamatebako was opened and everyone grew up her silhouette looked like .

FridgeHorror: Naru puts Keitaro through horrible abuse throughout the series, never apologizes, abuses his friends for laughs and even tells the other girls to join in and to torture Keitaro's aforementioned friends. Keitaro ends the series married to this woman. He is, in essence, trapped in an abusive relationship with a unstable woman. DownerEnding anyone?

That is not fridge brilliance, that is common sense

* LoveHina. Say what you will, but it's painfully obvious that Keitarou chooses Naru. And it isn't just his blatant attraction to her, the backstory, or her attributes, either. Why is it obvious? Every volume cover of the manga, other than Volume 11, has Naru as the most prominent character in front, usually in some fanservice-y fashion. And then Volume 14 (the final volume) seals the deal with the entire epilogue-wedding picture, in which there was virtually no point in wrapping up who Keitarou's promise girl was...
** I ask you to find me a work where the protagonist actually chooses another character, and DOESN'T choose the "first other". It's always that one person that they spend the most time with, regardless of why the spend that time together.
*** Shuffle Rin chooses the Asa Route. You know, the energetic Senpai that you rarely spend time with? Yeah, that's her.
