* For those wondering why Miracle Matter can only be hurt by its current element, it can be hurt with its own attacks because its shield that blocks all your normal attacks is permeable to whatever element it uses to attack Kirby with. When in fire form, its shields can be passed by fire so it can hit Kirby with fire, but Kirby sends the fire right back at it through the shield. The shield still blocks elements, just not the one needed to attack with.

Dream Land is always parsed with a space in the middle. Those "containers" are actually called magic bulbs.

* In ''Kirby's Return to Dreamland Deluxe'''s Magolor Epilogue, there are various sections of levels where Magolor needs to do his best to protect a magic container from attacking enemies. This may be a subtle example of GameplayAndStoryIntegration, where during this period when Magolor makes his HeelFaceTurn, he is learning the value of protecting something that isn't himself.

* The ''Franchise/{{Kirby}}'' series is probably the archetypal SugarBowl, a perpetually happy place filled with bright colors and cheerful characters where nothing bad ever happens, the stories merely {{Excuse Plot}}s for [[RuleOfFun purposes of fun]]. * ''Kirby's Adventure'' involves a Nightmare trying to come through the fountain of dreams to hurt the denizens of dream land. King Dedede removes and destroys the fountain's power source, which keeps the Nightmare on the other side but prevents anyone in Dream Land from dreaming. Kirby fixes the star rod, defeats the Nightmare and restores the ability to dream, so all is good, right? Well, in ''Kirby Super Star'', it is shown that most of the planets in Pop Star's solar system have similar fountains. Another Nightmare could easily come through any of them and Kirby alone can't defend them all. Furthermore, the backlash from one Nightmare's defeat [[DefaceOfTheMoon was strong enough to blow up 1/4th of Pop Star's moon]]. At any point, another Nightmare could creep out of any number of places in the cosmos and cause a disaster.
* In ''Kirby's Dream Land 2'', Dark Matter comes to Pop Star and makes mischief in Dream Land. Kirby gets a special weapon and defeats it, problem solved? ''Kirby's Dreamland 3'' sees Dark Matter come back and engulf the entire planet of Pop Star. Kirby manages to defeat it with another special weapon, though and even destroys its core, Zero. Yet in ''Kirby 64'', Dark Matter successfully conquers another planet and would have been in a position to take over many more had Kirby not gotten involved by coincidence. Turns out the controller, Zero, had somehow revived, but Kirby finding another weapon to put back down solved everything, right? No, Dark Matter engulfing two planets as well as [[ThatsNoMoon forming another one out of its own mass]] is just a drop in the bucket. Even if Zero Two is taken down and Dark Star is no more, the fact that Dark Nebula from ''Squeak Squad'' was later revealed to be part of Dark Matter shows this plot point has not been forgotten either.

*** This makes Adeleine's presence on Pop Star especially disturbing. She's one of the only humans in the series (a few more appear in Kirby's Dreamland 3), meaning she may very well be one of the last of her kind.
*** What's worse, most of the human characters from Dreamland 3 are '''children'''. Meaning they've likely been separated from their parents or orphans.

** Even beyond that, the dark situations that he ends up in, including what seems to be [[AfterTheEnd post-apocalypse planets]], also reflect the idea of nightmares taking over dreams. Kirby isn't just keeping Dream Land safe, he's straight up diving from the SugarBowl straight into the clutches of a KnightOfCerebus and kicking their tails to make the nightmares go away.

* When you think about it, Void Termina being the creator of the Master Crown explains why Magolor's soul form has a giant eye, making it look like a Dark Matter being. Void Termina is heavily implied to be the progenitor of the Dark Matter race and has his own giant eye form, so the Master Crown turning Magolor into a Dark Matter-looking being makes sense in hindsight.
* The design of the secret boss of ''Star Allies'', Morpho Knight, may seem familiar to long-time ''Kirby'' fans. Well, that’s because it was supposed to be used in the cancelled Kirby [=GameCube=] game! “Reborn Butterfly” indeed!
* The main villain of ''Star Allies'', a game about friendships and love, is the leader of a cult and the Three Mage-Sisters. Most cults operate by manipulating and isolating more impressionable people with the end goal of creating a society of obedient, coerced slaves that see the leader as a close friend and call the slow corruption of their lives a form of love. Thus, Hyness and the Mage-Sisters, in mechanics and their very concept, are a quiet EvilCounterpart of Kirby and his friends.
* Dark Meta Knight's unique boss theme against Morpho Knight isn't his signature boss theme from previous games. Instead, it's a medley comprised of the ''Amazing Mirror'' boss theme followed by Dark Mind's theme during his second phase. Dark Mind's theme is understandable, but why the regular boss theme? Because that's what plays during the first phase of Dark Mind's boss fight; both themes are playing in sequential order.
* When playing as Daroach through the Guest Star ???? mode in ''Star Allies'', in the room with Daroach's name spelled out in blocks, there's a Key Dee holding a key that you have to take in order to advance further. Fitting, considering that stealing things is Daroach's job. Regardless of how far he's redeemed himself, he's still a thief looking to steal treasure through whatever means necessary at the end of the day.
* With the fight against Hyness in the main game of ''Star Allies'', he only enters his second phase once the player fully depletes his first health bar, after which he summons the mages and uses them to replenish his life. Because he only summons logs in ''Heroes in Another Dimension'', he's unable to use them to replenish his own life and thus enters his second phase once his life bar is only taken down by half.

* Marx's description in ''Star Allies'' states that "he'll be your buddy if you keep him well-fed", implying that his plot to take over the Planet Popstar was fueled by hunger. In his debut game, ''VideoGame/KirbySuperStar'', the food from Dream Land was stolen twice. First by King Dedede and then by Dyna Blade.

* What we know about [[spoiler:Void Termina]] suggests that [[spoiler:[[TomatoInTheMirror Kirby may be an incarnation of Void]], and related to the Dark Matter]], right? Fun coincidence... or subtle hint, hidden in plain view from the very start?
** And for something that's more [[HilariousInHindsight Fridge Humour]] than anything else, this also means that [[spoiler:Shadow Kirby is a ''literal'' TomatoInTheMirror]].

* ''VideoGame/KirbyStarAllies'' opens with Hyness messing up the ritual to summon Void Termina on the Jambandra Base, which results in the giant purple Heart shattering into multiple pieces that are scattered through out the universe. Some of these heart pieces land on Planet Popstar, causing multiple inhabitants to turn evil and motivating Kirby to investigate what's happening. ''Keep in mind that Kirby usually doesn't know about the villainous forces until they start threatening Popstar.'' And since the Jambandra Base is established to be incredibly far away from Popstar, he wouldn't have known what was going on there until the heart pieces fell from the sky. Imagine what could've happened if Hyness had successfully completed the ritual…

* Meta Knight seemed like a strange choice for TheRival in ''VideoGame/KirbyAndTheAmazingMirror'', given the {{Metroidvania}} style. I'd actually say that makes it make sense. In the ''Franchise/{{Castlevania}}'' side of Metroidvania, a classic ActionHero usually works as TheRival of some sort, and HeroesPreferSwords, so a sworded AntiHero makes sense as TheRival.

It may not be why she's so evil, but it could be one explanation for how she became so monstrously vain.
** The developer's talk in Miiverse basically confirms this, with additions: It was Taranza who gave it to Sectonia as a gift, back when she was a good guy; the thing just happened to contain a vengeful Dark Meta Knight, which corrupted Sectonia and turned her into the evil, vain queen she is now.

This theory does have evidence in the games: Star Dream states that Galacta can destroy entire planets, yet Meta Knight can still beat Galacta. He's been sealed away from centuries, maybe even millennia. Such a long time must have weakened him greatly. Even when he's released, he has to take control of Daroach instead of fighting on his own. There's a reason why Kirby has to chase Dark Nebula after he leaves Daroach's body. He's ''running away''. He knows he doesn't stand a chance against Kirby in his current state. The fight is actually a last-ditch effort to get rid of his chaser.
